I find that after playing Oblivion the world of Albion feels very linear and claustrophobic.
I thought it was average at best.

The shotgun now requires skill, you have to aim it a little. I've killed more people with the shotgun in gears 2 than i ever did in gears 1.
Plus don't you think an f'ing machine gun with an f'ing chainsaw attached SHOULD be more powerful than a shotgun.

There is nothing wrong with the chainsaw! Its a f'ing CHAINSAW. Stand in front of it and you die.
If you get killed by it, its your fault.
Try moving away from the guy and shooting him.
I always spawn with the Hammerburst and its easy to take down a guy running at you with a chainsaw.
The downgraded shotgun is great, now i use every weapon. I'm loving the pistol and Hammerburst.
But I agree the matchmaking needs work.
But the fact that you are willing to wait 45 mins to get into a game says a lot about just how awesome Gears 2 is.

15 years ago 8/10 was a great score and 9/10s were rare.
7/10 was a good game and 6/10 was average.
