Exactly. The charm of the 3DS is that it's portable and has "portable" type games. This thing requires a case which requires a bag or backpack. The 3DS fit in your pocket this doesn't have a chance in hell. Like you said, not a great portable, not a great console will give it a slow painful death.

Make sure to tell Nintendo that. I don't think they got the memo. They keep prioritizing and repeating "home console." But I'm sure you know better.
To be fair, that Mario "New Donk City" levels looks pretty damn bad. PS2ish. The other levels look nice but again, different art style.

Nice attempt at trying to lump Nintendo's online attempt on equal grounds as Sony and MS.
1.) You need a smart phone to chat.. they want to charge the standard online price, but don't have the most basic feature of a console party chat.
2.) .. forget it. What's the point. Look at number 1 and you can pretty much figure out the following 9.
This has been totally flying under the radar for me, but I must say it's def. looking like a must buy for me. Story, gameplay, graphics, everything looks great.

Mark my words. Same exact scenario like the 3DS launch will happen. Nintendo will fail, feel the burn very quickly and readjust with a more consumer friendly price. Then it'll be a win win for everyone. Right now they're just trying to gouge your eyeballs.
It's not $299 for heaven's sake. There is no pack-in game so you won't be able to play anything. 375+ just to get you started.
