Cloud gaming is lovely when it works and a frustrating mess when it doesn't. It's about 50/50 which experience you'll get so yea those odds kinda suck lol
Yea I really wanted the low end one to save a few bucks but if it turns out games are dependent on an SSD in the future well there goes my $400 lol mid tier for me it is
People reserving now will probably be the last ones to get the console so scalping wouldn't matter at that point if there's enough supply, Just my assumption
BEAST WARS!!! RAWRRRRSHHHH!!!
As much as I would love that, it would take a miracle.
It doesn't appeal to a wider audience (families) to put it simply lol
It will be interesting to see how this sells in Japan. I wonder how popular steam is over there if at all.
We have to try it to find out. The controller layout was mentioned in a video as a positive thing, was it just product promotion or not ? We'll see lol
Your expectations aren't realistic. Sony PS5 is mainstream and has a wider appeal. This product is niche and targeted at a very specific audience that games mostly on PC.
PC gamers are harder to cater to because they are tech savvy and generally already have what they want with a home console/pc making them more skeptical or dismissive of a portable product.
I feel the amount reserved from this estimate is a healthy amount for an unproven market in...
Hope these are all on the ps5 vr. Holding off on any VR games until that comes out since I don't have a high end gaming PC and current psvr is a little unpleasant for me at the moment.
The only company doing E3 the right way to me is Nintendo with their treehouse events. Xbox and Sony should have implemented the same system. Would have been great for all the fans.
@jukins
Why not encourage a purchase? They clearly have the money to consider it. I wish more companies would make handheld devices with more power.
Im a big handheld gamer so it's something big for me to have valve come out with this. I vote with my wallet, it's not to "make valve feel good" it's to show them there's demand for this lol
Well hopefully you decide to buy it so that valve know they made a good move. Personally, I'll get thousands of hours out of this. Waiting till next year is too long though lol
Lmao 14 different accounts that have been active since before June ?
Hmmm.... sounds like we got an experienced scalper on our hands
Yea I'm not sure wt portable device your expecting, the switch only gets about 5 hours with most games and that's usually with the less demanding ones.
Gaming laptops only manage a few hours at best, especially with demanding games.
Looks this has been resolved I reserved the 256 with no issues just now
Cool, combat looks more fluid now. Nice to see
Does the ssd matter if you don't care about load times? Does it affect performance ? I rather just get the base $399 but not if it would make a difference in performance while gaming.
It does have a dpad
It's handheld. Good time to release since people wanted a more powerful switch. Your missing the point, people looking for a portable machine aren't really concerned about the greatest graphics just stable performance.
These steamdeck articles are getting ridiculous.
I am happy there's a good buzz around it though lol
