I think Nintendo fans are growing up and expect more from Nintendo. Look at what they offer on Nintendo Direct for Wii U. Announcing a character that will appear on the next Smash Brothers? AC had everything. The great voice acting and game play from AS. Gotham city and all the famous Batman villains. Open world. You could play as Catwoman. It had everything. What more could you ask for? It's my favorite.
I'm sure it's a good game, but this series wore out it's charm. It peaked with Arkham City. Just like the Nolan series peaked with The Dark Knight. They couldn't top it.
Knack looks generic and current gen. Hopefully next gen means games that can all run on 4K TVs. Because next gen console games that look like current PC gamers is not exciting to us Console/PC gamers.

It's hard not to like Trevor because he's funny, screams a lot and doesn't give a shit, but at the same time he murders an innocent woman in the game. A hard working woman who had all the right in the world to want a disgusting person like that to leave her home. That part made me cringe. I know they kill a lot of people in the game, but up until that moment. They had been killing bad people. Anyway, just something to think about when you pick your favorite game character.

Yes, it's game play and the first next gen console game to look like true next gen. The first next gen game you can say that 360 and PS3 could not do it.
I will say one thing about Xbox Live FREE games. You actually get to keep them forever. It's not a rent a service like PSN Plus. That being said, the free Plus games are better. Although not lately. Seems Sony favors Europe over the US. Since Europe gets all the amazing free Plus games and the US gets the shaft. Anyway, XBL needs to give away more recent games. They keep giving us ancient Xbox 360 titles.
My only problem with Plus is that we don't actually own the free games. We have to keep paying for plus if we wanna keep owning them. Almost like a rent a service. Where on XBL, we get to keep the free games. Granted, it's rarely free games as good as Sony is offering.

I understand you like them. No one said you can't like what you like, but pretending that nothing is wrong is denial. You can't deny that Japanese games today are not what they used to be in terms of relevance and popularity in the game industry. It's just a fact. What you should say is -I understand that, but I still love them and will continue to support them. That's a more realistic approach. Rather than whining that Japanese games are still #1! The people who disagree that Japanese gaming is over are the biggest fans of Japanese gaming. They're in denial and holding on to nostalgia. When Japanese gaming ruled the land. There's 3 levels of Mario games. There's the usually lame Mario attached to a sport or some other activity. Then you have New SMB and Mario 3D World. Those are good. But then you have that innovative Mario game. Mario 64, Mario Galaxy. The one that takes Mario to the next level. The Wii U needs that as fast as possible! Maybe, Mario Universe?
