Really? If BF4 was GOTY. The single player element of BF4 is getting mediocre praise. It's the multiplayer everyone is gushing about. At it's core though the multiplayer is the same as any other FPS shooter of the last decade. Kill your enemies and upgrade your weapons and rank. It's just bigger and flashier. We'd be a pretty boring industry if BF4 won GOTY. The Last of Us is gonna the most GOTY awards from most outlets. Mark my words.
@Neonridr Mario 3D is not a game changer. It's a great Mario game I'm sure, but it's not going to get people like me who grew up on Nintendo and have abandon them to return to Nintendo, but an amazing Mario and Zelda game that's ambitious and takes the franchise to the next level. Can do that, for example. Mario Galaxy made me buy a Wii. Nothing so far makes me wanna buy a Wii U.
