My 80 gig model "phat" has not let me down yet, and I'm not planning on buying another playstation until PS4 releases...
Sn: I think the phats look better than the slims, can't resist the appearance of touch sensor buttons and that glossy piano black case with the chrome trim :)
Are they sure this news came from sony, because I could've sworn that there was going to be a separate ARM based processor that'll focus on running the OS, thus making the PS4 energy efficient and consume less energy whenever its not running a game...
Or do I have to re-read the details Sony mentioned?....
Shouldn't really matter, especially if you the gamer can call yourself a "Hardcore Gamer" then you as a person barely need access to a physical manual...
I for one, am a "Hardcore Gamer", and I have not read a paper manual for about 8 yrs!!! (I'm 22 now)...
Reason why I dont use a manual for new games is, that I find it more enjoyable to figure out the controls on the "fly"..... And most games since then have in-game tuto...
Hey as long as I can actually level buildings/random structures and ACTUALLY FLY the jet/helicopters this time around on campaign then I'd say more power to them, as long as its ok...
It can act as a means of practice to the unskilled BF folks, because that one jet mission on BF3 kinda sorta sucked at the end...
1. Ones using tech only found in CG movies...
2. The other one was built from the ground up...
Kinda funny to compare the two, when both aren't even using the same tech(nique) in coding/programming...
1.*PS4
2.*PC
Both still look fantastic, and hypening me up more and more for next gen seeing that I'm getting the best of both worlds...
PS & PC FTW!!!
Both faces look great, but only one of them look as if there's a soul behind those eyes... I'll go with the the more "alive" looking face...
The Graphics card inside of the PS4 is better than a gtx 560 card which happens to be able to play BF3 on those settings you mentioned and at a steady frame rate between 57-61 fps with a i5-2500... So the ps4 is more than capable of playing BF3 at high settings...
A bigger player count for consoles is a plus and maps for dog fight purposes or that is suitable for player count, but I'd rather have the ability to destroy 90% of the environment this time around. Like "Whatever you see, you can destroy/break" and actual realtime stress limits, example: A tank shouldn't get stuck on a small light post, etc.
And to be able to drive civilian vehicles, from the small cars all the way up to the "Big johns" (Big dump...
@ Gig
Well if you read the box that the PS3 comes in, it shows you and tells you what's in the system...
Well at least the box that my "phat" ps3 came shows/tells me
Not to go off topic, but I do agree with what you say for the most part, but there are people out there in this very world that actually think and believe that their smart phone(s) that they spent hundreds of dollars on can out do a pc, or is even a better pc within the palm(s) of their hands...
I was told by a coworker, that their Iphone 5 can play better games and do more than my pc which has an i5-2500 K, and a Gtx 560....
I had no choice but to shut my mo...
For one there isnt any "one" gpu with 8Gb of GDDR5 Ram nor is there a consumer pc worth buying that has a secondary low(ered) power(ed) processor that handles all/most of the OS features/functionalities, thus making the system energy efficient, seeing that the Cpu will remain idle until it is needed...
And even then there isnt a pc worth buying/building that('ll) has/have a cpu that'll only focus on physics simulation, A.i., etc, not having to push games, an...
An optional GPS App, for 3G model's...
Im going to jump straight to the point....
8Gb of GDDR5 Ram, most likely to be used up by the GPU (more than likely)...
*Gpu* working with Ram and graphics rendering(job easy)....
Arm processor managing OS(not sure how well it will work with GDDR5 ram, but I assume it will work very well)....
*Arm* working on OS and other OS based Feature(s)...
Cpu managing/working on Physics and A.I. etc (not having to worry...
He's younger in Ascension, and they mentioned his fighting skills are "rusty" I believe...
After playing the demo is it safe to say that GOW 4 will have a story based around Norse Gods?...
At the end of GOW3 there was a mark of a (to believed) phoenix and also that Kratos may have fell in the sea after he killed himself. But what if that mark is from one of Odins valykries'?
And now Kratos is fighting by Odins side, so that Odin can give him(Kratos) what he's been fighting for this entire time...
Just a wild guess, I made u...
I think both Sony and Microsoft are holding out until E3 to show there consoles...
Am I the only person, liking the feature to "hand-over" the controller to an online friend during any given game that has a tough part, that they (online friend) can get past?...
Thats a HUGE ONE UP for SONY, MS really have to bring it!!!!
This rivalry has birthed some great innovative features this gen!!!
Doesn't really matter, especially after seeing Infamous:SS and Killzone SF, and DriveClub... It'll look good regardless even if it wasnt on PS4, but on a pc with similar specs it give/gave a clue on what to look forward to...
Comparing a finished title to a game thats still in its "Alpha" state?...
Yeah, there's nothing wrong with that /s...
"The Single Chip Custom Processor," which SCE employed for the PS4, is equipped with eight "Jaguar" 64-bit CPUs"
I want to say this is a typo, but can you imagine; Eight "Jaguar" 64-bit CPUs stacked onto one die inside of a console?...
Heck if there were 8 "jaguar" 64-bit cpus within the PS4, then I'd say its definitely made with "Supercharged" PC parts!
**I know, its meant to be &quo...
