I played em all, and I started out hating that they changed the 4th game, but as a played it that totally changed. It really grows on you the longer you play it, by the time I beat it, I considered it a good addition to the series.
I'm disgusted they're only putting 2 and 3 in the "collection" that just makes no sense and I can say for certain there's no way I'm gonna buy the HD remakes for just the two games. It's all or none, I hope no one else...
Excellent update to the graphics. Looks like they got some sweet lighting effects for this one. As long as the gameplay is the same with slight improvements, its sure to be another great game to add to the series. Can't wait.

ahh my favorite MGS. I wont play this since I don't plan on getting a 3ds, but its good to see it still getting the love it deserves. Maybe its time to dust off my ps2 and give it another spin.

Yea I would hardly call it the future, each episode is painfully short, they've barely done anything but character intros so far, for most fans its just a rehash. It's good, don't get me wrong, but I have a hard time calling it a series, more like introduction clips.
Well there are a lot of suckers out there. I never have nor will buy dlc, I'll wait for the game of the year edition to come out if I think I'll want any of it. Very few have ever been anything but a tacked on time waster.

I don't need a lesson in physics, thanks. Its obviously less realistic, but tons more fun. Most of the racing games such as NFS are more successful going the arcade route over simulation.
The casual appeal tends to lean heavily towards action not precision. Add in the fact that in gta there is often chasing and gunfire, which makes a fairly frustrating component for people who don't like simulation driving.

The setting needs to get more realistic, people are showcasing photo-realistic pc mods for a reason, they beat the normal gta4 hands down. A real world LA with next gen graphics, now that would be a sight to see.

Its a legitimate concern. I'm always hesitant when developers start to add more and more stuff thinking more is better, but end up making it worst.
From the way he was talking in the interview, they seem to have a good understanding of what players want though, and are DOING THE WORK necessary to make it a positive addition to the series.

I actually bought a game the day it went down, so I've been waiting forever to get some addons. I want my 2 free games too, still waiting for my compensation. Good intentions don't mean much, its long past due sony.
That's a good deal for people who missed out. It has one of the most unsettling levels I've ever played set in an abandoned orphanage. If you like silent hill or the old resident evils, you might wanna check it out just for that stage, its very well done.

I gotta think physical disk sales will rise if this trend takes off. Each company going "exclusive" with their digital games leaves gamers with either managing several different accounts or just buying a disk from retail.
Personally I always buy the disk anyways, so it doesn't matter to me, but I'm still annoyed by each companies "me too" attitude when they see someone else making money. I'm not sure the gamers need this at all, seems like more...
