don't know if you know wageslave, but the gpu is still an 90nannometer chip (even in recent versions) and that it what causes the rrod otherwise we would have read everywhere in the news on internet that the rrod was a thing of the past, which is not. this is the main reason I decided not to buy an Xbox 360, at least until the jasper motherboard comes out, then I'll believe that the rrod is fixed ONCE AND FOR ALL if MS eventually manages to do so.
Personnaly, I think this game has lost some of its hype, sure when we'll get near the release date or when there will be more info we'll be wanting this game really bad, but for the moment, everything is shadowed by MGS4.
simple, I'll buy the ps3 version since, duh, I'll buy one soon. second, being a hardcore gamer, I mean , I keep playing and speedrunning every game I can get my hands on until I fall asleep or complete it. GTA4 being a big game, it'll take a lot of time finishing it, on the 360? HA! that will never happen, I would be sure to get at least a RROD by the time I finished that game.

I totally agree! I have a friend who seem did not play enough video games when he was young. result: any game he plays, he finds a way to make it hard!

Ho yeah! I can remember that beautiful day last summer wherei went to my friend's house, he told me: if you wanna play the xbox you know what to do. I plug it (for some reason it was unplugged) I needed like 15 minutes to sync a controller, the xbox kept freezing (still in the dashboard!) then I get to launch GoW. I start my game, the screen goes black... turn it off, then back on... You know what I saw... ...Ibroke my friend's Xbox! Actually, we tried three times turning it on and holy sh*t ...
imagine the situation, you unbox your Xbox, you plug it in, you turn it on, and then... ...RedRing! imagine it happening on christmas day!
If I were sony, I would have made sure that rumble wasn't lost during the immersion lawsuit, and would have upgraded to the Quatroshock! (I don't need to tell you what it does, do I?) surround vibration: I've always dreamed of a more realistic feedback.
nothing beats the polystation, some kind of snes playstation that you have to keep the door opened to insert the cartridge! yeah it's real and it's chinese rip-off.
You're so right! I really like one thing about vista, it's the name I've given it, called obsolista! honestly, this sh!tty OS keeps lagging whatever I do, and did anybody realise that ready is totally useless? I put 2 gb of my usb key and it still lags!
yeah you're right on that one, sd programs on hdtv look much more worse than on normal tv's.
I can't recall how we called in the economy course, but when you buy that kind of product, you gotta buy evreything else needed for high-def, HDMI or component, HD cable box and an HD-player (blu-ray) otherwise it's all blurry.
EDIT: another example is the Xbox 360: you buy a unit, you gotta buy the specific hard drive for it, the wire to recharge your controller the xbox headset

sony buy a ps3, standard 2.5'' HDD, standard usb for recharge, ...
WOW! at least, can we just enjoy the 50gb blu-ray..for a year? lol Already there's talk of an hvd (holo versatile disk) that can contain 1.8tb. Come on, a thousand gb equals to 1tb (terabyte) then 1,000 tb equals to 1(!) Petabyte!
I agree, man over the years with all my friends' Xbox's and myself experimenting 3red rings with someone else's console, I've now become some kind of afraid buying an Xbox. I know being a hardcore gamer, my machine would not last long so that's why I'm waiting for the Jasper model, or even vahlalla (if it comes out). When it's out, I'll consider buying an Xbox,not now. As for the water cooler, it's a BIT bulky, am I not right?
About two weeks before, My friend lent me his PS3! I wonder if strangely he'll ask it back on monday?
