Well sony will already have rough ideas as to what specs to be using for the PSP2.
This doesnt mean its coming out soon, its just that its probably in early development at the moment.

Yeah but at the end of the day the reason the 360 is seen as the cheaper option is becuase of vewry clever marketing and pricing by microsoft.
And at the end of the day whats shown there is if you want the 360 to match a ps3's specs.
But some dont. I dont use XBL gold, or a wifi adaptor, mine was repaired for free and so for me the cost was the normal cost for a 20Gb version...

Sony did this with the ps2 as well I think.
But theyve definately een doing this throughout this gen.
Also 3rd parties do get some of this as an internal team at sony are always optimising Edge, a developers kit for the ps3.
So 3rd parties do get help, but of course the best stuff is kept for sonys games, to keep their reputation for making the best games for consoles.
