Obviously Im way too late but all the same it was funny.

The BBC has wronged the consumer.

They've given out recomendation to let someone else DIY fix your ps3, voiding all warranty. Given how they hate consumer misleading, I guess they're hypocrites...

Not only that the YLoD is hugely unlikely. 150 consumers ringing up is a tiny amount compared to the millions who own a ps3.

Just keep up the watchdog bashing, sony will most likely step in and hopefull watchdog will turn from its comedic joke and go back...

Yeah if your one of those who's ps3's die then thats a big problem espeically if its sonys fault.

Im just annoyed at how watchdog did nothing to fix it, which makes you wonder if they do care about us, or ratings...

Whilst sonys failure rate is very low if you are one of the unlucky, especially with easily fixable problems sony shouldnt charge.

Lol I agree that this article may be a little fanboyish and biased. Ok a lot of bias and fanboy in there definately lol XD

But uncharted a gears ripoff?

Just becuase both are TPS? Tons of games have TPS, and many before gears are they all rip offs too?

The story of uncharted 2, the art style, the characters, its completely different.

Guys this article is heavily misleading.

MS were blatantly just saying that forza was exclusive to the 360, and then that the ame included ferrari and other bits of info.

The title is worded wrongly.

In sonys letter they said they would take action of watchdog were biased or misleading.

God finally a big company who willhopefully set watchdog straight. I want the old watchdog back, lets hope sony does this properly and leaves them in tatters so the BBC can get its act toghether.

The show used to be hugely respected. They did great reaserch and generally got something aout of companies. But now its al gone in favour of comedy and its a rubbish show which has alienated its older fanbase.

And tbh i laughed at the report. Its was full of biases and it generally mislead the public.

1 year warranty: standard for electrical companies

0.5% faliure rate, very low, they forgot that though

That watchdog show imo was completely terrible.

They were hugely biased and instead of going to sony to get something done they contiuned to avoid them and keep it comedic, becuase its more funny for the average uninformed person watching the show.

its un fortunate. Watchdog could have actually done something, changed the warranties. But instead they turned it into a joke.

But I doubt sony will take much action. It would just spread the word of th...

Guys.

In general the BBC is fine. Theyre looking at ODST instead of Uncharted 2 becuase at the end of the day ODST is going to sell more, its a higher profile game for the public.

And most people are not angry with watchdog looking into YLOD, in fact if action was taken and sony did something about their warranty Id be very happy. Its that they didnt actually change anything. They just turned it into a comedy to get more people watching...

I watched it too and I have to say Watrchdog has lost a lot of its credibility over the years.

when I watched it before it was very serious and down to earth.

But now that stupid lady from "the weakest link" is there, a lady who will never listen to anything but her own voice becuase she's that far upp her a$$ and then that comedy van thing which was completely misleading to customers.

Those engineers were not working for free, the warran...

A big thing for me is balancing.

I can loose in a game gracefully, In COD4, halo 3 ect if I die generally I can see that it happened out of skill, or its just how things go.

But in some games for me are unplayable due to balancing issues.

I love Killzone 2 but for me a near deal breaker is the sniper class. Before that class the game was excellent, people revived eachother, and if you died you knew it was out of skill.

But now the ga...

I completwely agree with that.

Im more annoyed in general at what watchdog has become. It used to be a good show but to geain higher ratings theyve taken a more comical approach.

The weakest link lady, that odd desk bit on the set, the two guys who go around are there just for laughs.

The shw completey ignores fact and instead relies on a few peoples problems, as if thats representitive of 100% of the worlds population.

Watchdog is b...

Watchdog used to be quite good but with the return of the weakest link lady and some others its starting to become more of a comedy than a factual show which I used to really enjoy.

Also this letter will change NOTHING. At the end of the day watchdog do not care about these companies. Do i think their accusations are correct? 3 years on and a perfectly working ps3 says no for me.

That letter was spot on. It covered everything and showed just how much watchdog int...

GT psp was bashed for not having a career mode.

But i think thats unfair. The reviewer would have done this sitting for hours in a room playing.

But thats not what the game is for. Its for travelling, quick blasts. We dont want to worry about getting into career mode and all that stuff, we just want to pick a car, a track and have fun, and importantly we want to do this fast.

And on the psp what would carrer have been? It would have been like arca...

Does a psp game always need a career mode?

At the end of the day on the psp it would have been just like arcade mode, but you dont get to choose what race you do...

In otherwords, it would have been a worse version of arcade mode. The same, but you have no choice over what track you do.

Its a portable game made for quick sessions. You choose a car, you choose a track, do a race, and enjoy the game.

Yes 4 cars is not much but then th...

The development cost is just that I would have thought, making the game.

Remember that after that they need a publisher, who will take a percentage of the costs. Then theres marketing, which will most likely have cost millions for those high profile games. all of them had TV ads in many countries which is hugely expensive.

Shipping costs, plus the game developers dont sell the game to retailers for $40, it will be a lesser cost, the retailers sell the game for $4...

Its an alright article but its not the best logic.

The guys doing the tech demo made the controller, Im sure they know how to use it. Its just that its not polished yet.

Ive never heard about lag problems either, and that demo didnt show any at all. If anything it looked very responsive.

The bit which get me though is when he said that sony didnt know about the motion controls whent they made the camera. That made me laugh a little. Theyve been dev...
