There is, in fact, a downward trend, but I wouldn't call the genre dead by any stretch of the imagination. The problem, IMO, is the dlc models. $25-$35 for a season pass is a massive ripoff. Tekken 7 is the last fighting game I bought and I'm not buying any dlc for it. I might buy Injustice 2 complete edition while its on sale for $18, but that game is so ugly that I'm hesitant to pull the trigger. As for games like DBFZ and Soul Calibur 6, I'll wait for complete editions, or ...
The Rise Mirai expansion is coming to the states. Might take a few months, though. I think it took something like 6 months for the base game to get here after the Japan release.
I worked K&B toys during black friday back in 2002 (same day I got my first Gamecube). Will never do it again. I'm a restaurant guy, so I was particularly unprepared.

In the case of C&C, remasters are the best chance we have at getting proper C&C games. EA just isn't in the business of making good games anymore, they are in the business of making money for their investors. That means sports games and casualized online games, packed to the brim with MTs.

@Jrios355 The problem with the new characters is that most of them kinda suck. I'm all for new characters but the way they (for the most part) just crowbarred in everyone's kid was just lazy. Also, having a floaty Ermac was just bad. The thing that makes UMK3 so good is that its the best collection of characters the series has ever seen.
It would be great if SE decided to localize FM5 for the west and released on ps4.
