yes but people thinking gaming violence is worse due to simulative interactivity should realize that in some ways they're no more interactive (yet) than a choose-your-own-adventure book. there are only limited options so it's more like seeing the different endings play out than full player choice. maybe an even better analogy would be a DVD released with alternate endings.
they're both violence. and in The Darkness, for example, sometimes my victims DO cry for me to stop.
many games feature intense brutal executions. isn't this form of torture worse than rape??
and don't give amazon too much credit for pulling it down. did they really have a choice? they're a successful American business and must censor out of fear of mass disapproval (versus letting individual consumers decide for themselves whether they wish to purchase matur...
this is unacceptable! decent, wholesome games should be about shooting peoples' heads and limbs off like Fallout and Gears of War!! that's the only kind of violence that we should be allowed to enjoy. I'm outraged!
didn't we already agree on n4g that no game uses 100% of a console's power? what about if the devs want to make some DLC? extra capacity would be needed for future game updates & for background processing. so it's BS to say any game uses a full 100% of any console's power.
true I got 360 a 1/2 yr in I think and it took a while for some better games to come. not as long as PS3 though.
interesting. and maybe there's more people online sharing info now so more people know about 360? vs less people online in the past sharing info about their busted PS2s, so we didn't hear of it as much? actually I think someone else commented this idea, it's not my original thought...
I still doubt it matched the 360 failure rate though.
now that would be something, to see bloodmask do the same for 360 fans.
no matter, at least he's capable of coming up with a clever blog in the 1st place. most PS3 fans just try to make a point with... well, see 1-11 above.
well I won't bother trying to watch the trailer from this crap computer.
a year or more ago it seems there was an early Prototype trailer on XBL and I don't remember it looking bad. I DO remember it rocked my speakers hard with the sounds - just awesome.
but then again, the Kane & Lynch trailers looked/sounded awesome, too. fortunately I never wasted $ on that, waited for reviews 1st.
I'm going to re-download that older trailer and see if i...
agree. hypocrites, all of them. do the people who made the outburst to get this shut down realize there is basically 'softcore' for download in the movies Marketplace (try The Center of the World to see a girl do a cool trick with a lollipop)? :)
of course, I'd then wonder if Community Games content can be filtered by parents like full games and movies can. not that this worthless "article" answers any useful questions like that...
worthless "article". how about a little info on what took place here? I'd like to know what kind of puritanical, hypocritical outburst closed this down please. I'd also like to know whether you, as a parent, can restrict the community games content as you can with full games and movies.
very nice of u all to stroke each other off here under that funny funny comment.
as is often the case @ n4g, under this article I see some xbox fans making an intelligent comment or 2 and many more (but not all) sony fans making lots of snide comments together. hmm which is more constructive??
thanks SIdepocket. I've been trying to tell sony fans they're nuts if they think MS is the only one to throw $ around for exclusives.
bubbles+.
actually I have another hypothesis regarding Stephen Colbert's bubbles count. 1st, he prob gets bubbles because, like the real Stephen Colbert, he's funny! but 2nd and more importantly, he cuts on 360 as much or more as he does sony.
sorry, bloodmask is right. in fact he hit the nail right on the head. some of u claim the 360 fans are getting their own foul treatment back; but I've been visiting n4g for a few years now and it has always seemed like the sony majority have be...
and poorly-written bs at that. seriously why do all these 5th-grade-writing-level 'articles' get approved?
anyway there were a couple of valid points (that have already been made but whatever). mainly, that 360 with all parts is actually more $ than PS3; and that the differences between 360 & PS3 online features are shrinking.
haha the "April NPD" video game for 360, can't wait lol.
he was pretty much talking about singleplayer-only games. u listed PDZ, halo wars, too human & GEARS which all have online multiplayer, he wasn't even talking about those kinds of games. also if u read to the end he then excludes rpgs as well, of which you've listed another 4 games.
way to read the article, numbnuts.
what the...? "if I had paid a full $60 for it (as I'm sure it was priced upon initial release)" he couldn't even research whether Hell's Highway was actually $60 at release?
turns out there's a little thing called pride of ownership & connection to tangible media. SP game sales may decline but some people will always want to own a physical copy forever & ever so I doubt they'll die off.
no, negativecreep. but I have been pretty busy boinking your mum lately...
wtf 'pre juices'??
I didn't say amazon screens everything. my point still stands that this 1, once discovered, was removed and I believe amazon's policy is more motivated by following the $ than actual good intentions.
your point about 'bad guys' vs innocents is a better 1. however for me the 'bad guys' in video games are pretty flat. their motivations are rarely fleshed out enough for them to be more than a socially-acceptable punching bag (because they're the 'bad guys').
