I thought I read the early players didn't have ethernet ports??? would make sense since BDLive was only added after outcry due to HD-DVD online features which looked attractive.
if I'm wrong - next time reply sooner so I can delete my comment!!
EDIT: actually I think I'm right. I remember reading that only PS3 would be able to update BD firmware due to its ethernet port...
@Sir_Ken: I would have considered buying cheap@ss HD-DVD attachment afte...
lol @ agrees for Soda.
I've seen Shane Kim make worthwhile comments but have never seen him outright praise anything 360.
the only big 360 exclusives that really appeal to me are Gears & Mass Effect (doesn't mean I didn't enjoy Crackdown, Fable 2). but I'll buy a system for that. wish I could have LBP & Uncharted tho.
reminds me of how the early bluray adopters wasted $1000+ on a player that can never connect to BDLive.
@disagrees: you're right, those early machines with no ethernet port can totally still access online features.
lol
no thanks natal. :(
I'll just stick with my standard, award-winning 360 controller. :)
I've been considering buying a gamecube on the cheap for twilight princess; not just because wii costs more but also because I have 0 interest in motion controls.
for the love of chr1st please PLEASE sony fanboys stop pretending like voice chat in Home wasn't IMMEDIATELY shut down due to rampant verbal abuse.
there's a ~week-old promo video on XBL showing a new krogan ally. so Wrex prob isn't a part of Sheperd's team in ME2.
don't worry, the new guy's deep, rumbly voice effect still sounds completely awesome just like the 1st 1. :)
"generic cover blocks"
that's why I think Bioshock is so freakin awesome. it doesn't look like neatly organized blocks of cover - great level design.
"There isn't anything unique about the environment that makes you think, I'm actually in a hotel, or an office building, or an enemy headquarters."
I guess that's true of the reused 'cave/dungeon' blueprints. but I think the main storyline locations were pretty well put together ...
or have read Open Zone comments under almost any article in the past week or so...
don't forget it's still an rpg. a direct hit onscreen doesn't necessarily mean a direct hit in gameplay since there's a hidden 'dice roll' for each shot fired. aiming better only gives you a higher percentage chance to hit (depending on how high u turn up the auto-aim).
I know I read a little while back that Europe was the largest GROWTH region (out of North America, Europe & Japan), not the LARGEST region. maybe that's what Morganfell was thinking of.
Saaking for 1. and Chubear seems pretty angry lately.
more importantly, people who make a stand against droid hypocrisy always have less bubbles than most PS3 fans across the board.
EDIT: look at Chubear acting all bitter over here -
http://www.n4g.com/xbox360/...
does he/she always talk like that? and look at them bubbles! people who act that relentlessly ...
u don't have to have a gold membership to purchase games or video content on XBL.
but juuken and darkpower u still didn't explain why the true sonytrolls that spout nothing but negative cr@p have 10 bubbles.
juuken, we know Pirate Thom isn't a troll. we weren't talking about him.
exactly.
u mean the release date of Season 3 of Dexter, what does that have to do with PS3? lol j/k.
yeah this is just another silly doom'n'gloom article based more on opinion than fact. and the main point he's arguing seems to only apply to Aussies anyway, thanks to their screwed up pricing which admittedly does suck. the website does at least have links to another similar article against the 360 if u scroll down.
seriously tho u should all watch Dexter it's the sh1t....
lol I give both 2xToasted & Warranty agrees and bubbles! better writing than the POS blog that inspired those comments, keep it up!
"PS3 Dominace Starting To Show"
"But as times are changing - so is the public view of the PS3 as a console and as an multimedia product."
but then there's no evidence given for PS3 'dominace' or a changing public view of the PS3; just a (short, incomplete?) list of the features of the PS3 that the writer feels will be responsible for a PS3 win.
in other words, this is just more poorly-written drivel that somehow passes for a complete st...
holy sh1t just minutes old and already full o trash talk. all over a cr@ppy, too-short opinion piece, too.
look, sure PS3 is looking way better than at launch. but the article doesn't even begin to give any real evidence (yes, I mean hard evidence like SALES, for ex.) of a changing mindset in consumers.
the conclusion u draw is far beyond the scope of your quote. your attempt at factual, quotable backup for your point = fail.
but anyways u made me wonder which console devs led with in xbox vs PS2 days?
even if it were true that MS tries to apply some influence/pressure to make sure PS3 versions of multiplats don't far outreach their 360 counterparts (which it isn't), it's still a free country.
I imagine it would be quite impossible to pressure bi...
