you're being sarcastic, right?

anyway now I see what's up with all the Kotick articles of late. it's shocking to see how much of an Ahole the activision CEO is.

and I thought MS was a bit of a milker...

this is the 1st kotick news I've ever read and I gotta say, that is the most d0ucheb@g haircut I've ever seen. ever.

um remember this is in fact bungie's last halo game. we'll be seeing what else they can do soon enough.

I would say bioware's Dragon Age still has the KOTOR gameplay. it's an rpg with combat that runs on auto-pilot until/unless you decide to control matters more directly.

so it's not too much of a stretch to hope for the same gameplay in a new KOTOR, right?

well now that I think of it I do remember a journalist or two talking about struggling to meet review deadlines, back when I used to watch the 1up Show.

nah, all games have some degree of repetition. granted rpgs may seem to have a higher degree of repetition due to a lesser amount of direct control/involvement (vs. an action or fps game). I guess the trick is to make the process engaging enough to hold our interest until the next payout.

"I now tend to read more reviews that are in the mid range because they tend to point out the problems with the games unlike the rushed 10 out of 10 reviews."

that's smart for any review of any product/service. except maybe the "rushed" part. like other commentors here I'm not sure I agree with you on that point. as Jinxstar mentioned we don't really know how long reviewers have had a game, do we?

yes. in fact overall fable too takes a complete nose-dive once the 3rd hero has been acquired.

this list sucks. article doesn't even mention the real reason the escaped prisoners from dead rising are the worst - they respawn! also, RAAM wasn't bad enough to make a 'worst of' list and wtf is up with shadow of the colossus??

the author lists the zelda franchise as a milker; then in the same paragraph turns around and says 'bring it on, give me more!'

that's Sofa King ret@rded.

I guess walking away from halo forever leaves a sour taste in bungie's mouth, if that's true. so this time they made sure to negotiate IP retention into the contract?

music artists prefer to own their IP; but so do the record labels. you've gotta be big to have the weight to demand ownership of your songs. I imagine it's similar now in the gaming industry.

why are you all willing to accept such cr@p writing?

5754d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

yes but ads aren't always meant to inform. there have been PLENTY of commercials that seek only to get something stuck in your head and/or get people talking (so that they then investigate themselves?)

ex: I still have no f*ing clue what this tv show The Event is supposed to be about. I just keep seeing the internet vertical banner ads with a semi-creepy-looking babe glaring up at me. wtf?

but yeah my 1st reaction to such is to think 'stupid a...

I think we're talking more about how things are now - new stuff coming from the east. you listed a couple that make me wonder if they're still relevant to this conversation.

ex: "metroid style castlevaina games" but I don't think those are being made anymore, are they? (maybe they are for handheld, idk because I pretty much stick to console gaming only.)

personally I absolutely love some of what's come from this gen's tren...

yes many western games involve either 'realistic' soldiers or scifi spacemarine-style soldiers, with HEAVY doses of machismo. but many eastern games involve moody, long-haired femboys (mostly to the point of just plain ridiculous). hopefully we realize there are exceptions to either rule.

yes I admit.

"you'll figure out what that means"

actually I didn't figure out what the tarheel part means but I lol'd anyway!

sorry but judging from the trailer on ripten.com I'd say the unattractive, generic character design remains.

5755d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

I tried the orig Two Worlds demo thru xbl out of sheer morbid curiosity, since I'd already heard how terrible it was. I found it to be fugly to the extreme and utterly generic besides. (seriously, it reminded me of that N64 rpg Aidyn Chronicles. NOT a pretty game.)

@darkdoom3000: reverse psychology trolling - it's the next big thing on n4g! :D

never played any MGS so can't speak to that. as for Molyneux, now... hard to say. as far as gameplay itself, I'd have to say both Fable games are pretty f*ing good. but the story... my g0d, Fable II story is one of the worst!

or should I say 'what story?' all that work to gather 3 other heroes, just to **SPOILER** have them stand on an unexplained magical f*ing platform so that unexplained magical beams of light can sort of link to my main character and,...
