Given the release time of the Wii U And the Wii before it and GC every 5 to 6 years we get a console. Wii released christmas of 06, Wii U winter of 2012. That would point to an announcement of the next Nintendo in 2016 and a release of either winter 2017 or summer 2018. 3D World was really quite a work of art and the spin off Captain Toad is equally fun and beautiful. However, I agree with you. I for one actually enjoy using the XB1 as a media hub. It has a ton of aps, able to route my cable through it with DVR function, the voice activation works very well and love not have to find a controller to pause what I am watching. Oh and I can play great games on it. I really fail to see how anything i listed could be bad. Seriously, how is any of that not helpful, fun to use, or cool at all?
Sorry but any game that is rendered completely useless due to a DDoS attack and cant be played for days is not GOTY material. Not to mention the game has the weakest campaign this side of the newest AC game and an incredibly underwhelming story. So, i respect your oppinion but IMO it is one of the farthest games from GOTY to me.
They would never have multiplat titles because everything released on it would be proprietary. Plus it would still require you to connect it to a computer and sync it in order to download anything in turn deleting whatever you wanted to keep on it. What a great system it will be

In what world is the Wii U $300 to $350? I bought mine over a year ago at $300 but it came with a pro controller, Nintendo land and Zombi U. That is over $100 in extras for free. That essentially reduced the price of the system to $200. Same bundles like that one are available now and even more so.

If Sony is paying someone to protect against this and yet it still happens and takes them twice as long to rectify the issue, they need to fire whomever it is that is stealing their money.
Mine was completely down from Christams eve morning through this morning. Full 48 hours. It came up earlier but only parts of it and then went down again. When it comes back up it is only for a few minutes at best. Xbox Live is working perfectly fine since last night.

Everything smooth for me. Played Diablo 3 in a LAN party all day and some COD AW for about 2 hours in a LAN as well. Had no issues.
