Yeah this game looks amazing, the fact Guerrilla are already showing the game played live means it's moving along well in development.

I still think this will come out in the 1st half of next year, Guerrilla's last 2 games only took 9 months to come out after they released, I wouldn't be shocked if this came out pretty close to that, the only thing that stops it being a March 2016 release is because Sony have slated Uncharted 4 for that month, along with Street Fi...

@Angerfist: It's already been confirmed by Kaz that GT7 is releasing before 2017.

GT5 and 6 both had something still missing from Forza Motorsport, that's dynamic weather and real time of day transitions.
Back at release in 2013 almost 1000 of the cars in GT6 were massively overhauled, 654 were Semi-Premium with improved bodywork and textures, 446 were Premium models, with the full models, inside and out, everything done to the highest standard, though PS3 cou...

@Genuine: I think it was the how screen moves when you use the gyro control in the game.

I think the Dualshock 4 being the thing you move for the gyro control of the game in the remaster and the game being displayed on a fixed screen will resolve that.
The gameplay does seem really good besides those issues, I just couldn't get passed that on the Vita version of Gravity Rush.

Technically Foster City are a support studio, XDEV handles Indie support and The ICE team are the studio responsible for developing Sony's API and overall development tools for Playstation platforms.

Pixel Opus are a very young studio, that are more on the small, indie level.
Northwest are the Playstation VR studio.

Polyphony Digital have confirmed they're making Gran Turismo for PS4, although they have hinted at having an interest in making s...

Yeah this is definitely coming next year!
The developers wouldn't have re-introduced it after so long of saying nothing if it wasn't a solid 2016 release!

Ni-Oh, TLG, Gravity Rush 2 and Horizon: Zero Dawn are guaranteed 2016 releases, if the developers of all of these games weren't sure they could deliver them in those years then they wouldn't be slapping the 2016 date on the game, they'd be better off waiting to show them later and they'd defi...

It's a significant upgrade in all areas, be it geometry, textures, overall image clarity, the lighting, AA, AF.
There are significant changes in all areas of the visuals for sure.

I think the remaster is also 60FPS too.
The difference should be on this level, great to see such an awesome job being made of this.

I have the vita game, but something about it felt a little off too me, so I could never really get into playing it through, but th...

Despite the statement of saying this will tie up loose ends, it doesn't mean the game will be the last ever in the series.

If it does happen to the be that, it doesn't have to be happy, so long as whatever ending there is makes logical and meaningful sense for the game.

I have faith that whatever direction Naughty Dog takes Uncharted 4, it will go that way because it makes sense to do so.

That's not really accurate TBH, for one thing the cockpit view is just a smaller part of the higher resolution image, because the exterior viewpoint gives more of a wider view, with way more data, the cockpit doesn't need to render any new data, it's just a more zoomed in part of the bigger image with the ability to pan the camera around in a restricted framework, with the Arwing's interior layered on top of that camera on the gamepad screen.

The TV image is j...

Don't worry it won't be long before you can take your money to a website or shop and hand that over to then have the game handed over or delivered to you!

Guerrilla has a pretty quick turn around from announcement to release.

I totally agree with this.
I love the fact that everything in the world has a logical point to it, I definitely got that vibe from the gameplay in the trailer.

That logical approach to game design is going to make learning the systems highly intuitive, which should most absolutely make the game very fun to play.

The more I hear about this game, the more I want it in my PS4, definite Game of the Year material!

The API in XB1 is already low-level before DX12 comes into play.

DX12 is about changing how the CPU talks to the GPU. DX11 and other past APIs only allowed for a single CPU core to talk to the whole GPU, while also having more more complicated layers of the Application Programming Interface (API) to go through before commands could be directly dealt with by the physical hardware, that was on the PC, consoles have always had a lower level API from even day one.

True, though people need to realize that for the size this thing is it's tech isn't going to be anywhere near as capable PS4 or XB1.
Maybe it can approach Wii U levels of performance, which puts it substantially higher up the tech ladder than Ouya, but it's still not that impressive.

If small devices can pack more performance, then larger units can pack multiple times that smaller device's capabilities.
Pure facts of thermal limits, otherwise k...

@Martinstrings: Did I say I was listing everything? No, Killzone Shadow Fall was the 1st FPS exclusive, the multiplayer in that is awesome.
Forza Horizon 2 isn't an exclusive, Forza 5 doesn't touch Driveclub when the selection of tracks is so limiting, the online functionality destroys Forza's.

Microsoft didn't release any other exclusives last year or this year that have multiplayer, all they did was remaster older games.

As I said Bl...

They're not ignoring a thing, I mean Driveclub is all about online racing (while still having an awesome single player experience), Sony San Diego are making Kill Strain, which is a completely new IP centered around 5v2v5 free 2 play online multiplayer, David Jaffe is making Drawn to Death, which is yet another new online multiplayer IP, centered around 3rd person shooter, frantic gameplay.

I'm pretty sure Deep Down will be focused on online gameplay, with generated d...

@abzdiine: I like the series as well, Killzone Mercenary carried on the whole gritty style of the pre-Shadow Fall, remember that SF was set in the future, I believe Merc was set around the events of 2 and 3, closer to Killzone 2 if memory serves correctly.

There's no reason why the next game in the series couldn't use a contrast of those cleaner tones and the gritty stuff.

@triplec: Oh Sony will for sure, they've always been that slow burner, with...

It all depends on what stories Guerrilla Games wants to tell, or whether they want to try something else new in the way of New IPs, but Cambridge did ship Mercenary in 2013, sure they're working on RIGS, but we also had Shadow Fall that year too.

Media Molecule managed to develop a full remake of Tearaway into completely new, full AAA PS4 release, alongside Dreams with a Studio less than a fifth of the size of Guerrilla.

Guerrilla has assets from Shadow F...

@Kleptic: For one thing PS4's design is much more efficient at making use of it's technology compared to how things worked in PS3.

Killzone 2 didn't release until 2009, 2 years after PS3 launched, arguably we've already seen as big a leap from Killzone 3 to Shadow Fall as there was between Killzone on PS2 and KZ2 on PS3, but Horizon is right around the corner, not only is it visually more impressive than Shadow Fall, but it's also a massive open world game...

The issue isn't just the eSRAM is too small, it's also that DDR3 is way too slow for graphics purposes.

The GPU sits right between a 7770 and 7790, meaning it should have a dedicated 1-2GBs of GDDR5, clocked at 84GB/s, DDR3 only offers up a maximum of 55GB/s real world.

If Microsoft wanted to have 8GBs of memory in their 8th gen XBox and they didn't think they could get GDDR5 for all of that, then they should have opted for 1-2GBs of GDDR5 and the...

IMO Guerrilla should focus on showing off the gameplay features, like variety of ways you can take down the machines, how the RPG elements work, the weather, time transitions, some core characters (like who Aloy's friend is, maybe her Dad or some father like figure/friend to her).

If they focus on the gameplay side of things and perhaps showing the odd new machine or natural wildlife and hunting for food.

Guerrilla can definitely show off some people that...

I feel the same way, the potential for variety in everything within Horizon's world seems enormous and sinking my teeth into that has the potential to really draw me in.

The moment to moment gameplay shown so far seems as appealing as some of the best 3rd person titles, it seems to have learned a lot from the best in that area and the systems in the game seem to make that work wherever the player is.

I'm hoping to see caves with great depths and thing...
