According XgamerX this is the solution:
Adjust the sensitivity of the Y and the X-axis otherwise.Do this via the menu, click Options, and go to control.Here you can find the X and Y axis set.
X axis should be 70% (or 80% what you do better)
Y axis must be 100% (or 90% if you find too sensitive)
(the bars consist of 10 parts. You can be the sensitivity with 10% increase or decrease)

I used to play Moonwalker too at the arcade. I remember playing it over and over again when I was a kid until my tokens ran out. That was definitely one of my most favorite games when I was little.
