Halo 4 was fun but it did seem a bit different from the previous games - which was to be expected considering the game was made by an entirely different development team who had no hand in the original games.

If you already bought the PS3 version you paid and received a top quality game and this new version doesn't invalidate your purchase. It also includes the extra DLC content so it effectively makes it a Game of the Year edition. When I bought Skyrim and Fallout 3 I didn't receive the subsequent GOTY of those games for free. So parity was achieved by turning of 'unnecessary' graphical effects on PS4 and prioritising 1080p resolution over all else.
I'm actually one of those who liked the voice in the Alpha - it sounded real and personable. Although a couple of lines sound overacted!
But the voice in the beta just sounds like it has been through a 1970s voice synthesiser. It's too gimmicky for such an expensive to make game. If there has to be a voice effect I'd like it a bit more real and subtle.

Yes the updates are regular but a part of that is including features already on PlayStation 4 including Activity Feed. I want to see Microsoft develop their own unique features.

What is shocking is journalists with NPD figures claiming of-the-record that the Wii U OUTSOLD the XBOX ONE IN JUNE.
EDIT: Microsoft's news yesterday that the Xbox One doubled May sales in not based on NPD numbers but on Microsoft's own internal figures. This likely means that ACCORDING TO NPD THE XBOX ONE DID NOT DOUBLE MAY'S SALES.

"Xbox One Sales More than Double." The announcement isn't as good as it sounds. May was the XB one's worst selling month. June figures are actually a cheat because they consist of FIVE weeks of sales and not four.
Many gamers waited until June to purchase an XB one which would have give the June figures a boost. It is a positive step that sales have been increased but the July sales numbers will tell us if the boost is consistent.
@Legacy212 I completed The Last of Us. I was so surprised by the story and action in this game. It also had so many gameplay moments that have stayed with me and my thoughts. Your most loved movies you need to go back to. I was excited about the idea of playing TLoU again anyway on max difficulty so when the Remaster was confirmed and I could play the game but with next-gen visuals then it felt like icing on the cake.
Nowhere is there a quote from Bungie that says they will hit 1080p on the XBone. What their community manager did say is "there’s always time for improvement."

I've got a copy on pre-order. But after all that talk of 60fps by Naughty Dog, reading that there is a 30fps option has me worried. It makes me think that the 60fps is not consistent and that they overstated this feature otherwise why include a 30fps mode? I hope it delivers on the ND promises.
It would be good to have the recap for free prior to launch, for example a 15 minute recap movie available on YouTube. So potential customers feel in the loop prior to launch.
If Roberts said he wants $20 million more to make an PS4 and Xbone version I think he would easily get it.

The thing I don't like about Phil Spencer's Xbox division is the constant spin and misrepresentation of facts. When Sony reveal record breaking PS4 sales of seven million, MS publish a press release that says "Over EIGHT million zombies killed" or whatever. Just really transparent.
