Think back to 2013. The Xbox One controller was released with a proprietary headset that was originally only going to work with Microsoft-approved headsets! This received negative feedback from the Microsoft community who saw that the PS4 DualShock 4 wouldn't have this control measure. In response MS started changing the console and made a system update to allow other headsets. However users still have to buy the headset dongle which just adds expense. So a revised controller that removes...
So many articles telling us how a new system update or SDK will dramatically improve performance. But stop using words to try and persuade us this true, just show us.
Come back to us when you've bothered to finish your review.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Geoff Keighley at GameTrailers was the one constant in the business.
What will we do now?
With no tangible benefit to game performance It sounds like dynamic scaling was used so that Microsoft could say claim 1080p as a bullet point, so the XBO version is listed the same as other versions but this performance actually makes it seem dishonest.
"Xbox Wire: What can you share about your new role?
Casey Hudson: As Creative Director at Microsoft Studios, my primary focus will be the creative direction of HoloLens Experiences."
Hudson played a big part in having Bioware focus on gripping storylines in their biggest games. So reading that Microsoft will have him work on HoloLens 'experiences' makes me wonder if they are overlooking his area of expertise.
@dcbronco. What little I know of UK law is that Microsoft wouldn't be able to sue for thousands because they have a high degree of culpability and responsibility by letting members of the public who are not paid employees but are instead unpaid enthusiasts.
I hear that some of you think breaking an NDA means bricking should be allowed but when a person buys a console they are buying it with no contract, with the understanding that it will work. The original purchase shoul...
If these guys were trusted, but then leaked the game then Microsoft is perfectly within their rights to kick them off the preview program and never let them come back. But... MICROSOFT DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO BRICK LEGAL CONSOLES THAT ARE NOT USING PIRATE SOFTWARE. You buy a product, you have the right to use it, the manufacturer should not use their technology to prevent you because you displeased them (whatever the reason). This is anti-gamer and anti-consumer and maybe this is acceptable...
CD Projekt "These are just rumors, and as we’ve said before we don’t comment on such."
A publisher not commenting on a leak about a game they are rumoured to be working on I understand. But when CD Projekt are directly asked to say has the game been downgraded and they say no comment then it makes the ears prick up. The Witcher 3 reviews are great, and I can't wait to play it but this 'no comment' from them actually says a lot.
Ubisoft did not apologise.
The writer is wearing rose-tinted glasses but to say to say they have is to mislead the people here that Ubisoft have made a statement meaning 'we've learnt from our mistakes.'
Final Fantasy 19-2?
Phil Spencer was very canny in getting it as a timed console exclusive for XBO so owners won't feel left out when they see the No Man's Sky excitement on PS4. However Microsoft should not try to promote it as an alternative to NMS as they actually both have very different play styles. Elite: Dangerous is a great game but is far more sim-like than No Man's Sky.
Headline says release date but is misleading as the vague '2015' release has already been revealed.
I really don't think that this is because of a moneyhat because it doesn't make any business sense. This is a game that is now over six months old, which is available on all Xbox One. What possible benefit would there be to Sony paying money to block the release of a 'game of the year' edition?
Most probable is that Ubisoft looked at the printing costs and based their decision on sales forecasts. Xbox One is selling well in the USA but has not been as widely a...
It's looking mighty tasty... so is Kinga!
The speedrun is just for testing, but it gives context that it takes 25 hours when you know exactly what to do to complete just the main quest.
But why on Earth would you buy an RPG just to speed run it? These games are not for achievement/trophy hunters. Surely the whole point of games like this and Skyrim is that you go at your own pace and explore and to enjoy it!
I really want to watch the Bethesda conference live but it is so late for the UK and Europe. 3am/4am start time. :(
I know websites need clicks but this video is the equivalent of a full priced game that has micro transactions. It takes 5 minutes for the guy to reveal the one bit of relevant information; that YOU CAN REDOWNLOAD IT.
My suggestion to Eurogamer is create videos that people want to watch but don't exploit gamers.
I can't wait for The Witcher 3, but when a special edition costs more than a New Nintendo 3DS, Wii U Basic, Xbox 360, or PlayStation 3 you know that there is something wrong with the industry.
I'm intrigued! But I wonder how many more similarities to Banjo & Kazooie they can squeeze in before the Microsoft lawyers start perking up?
@Rookie_Monster. Those US sales figures don't include digital downloads and official bundle copies!
