Microsoft shouldn't leave it so long. I preordered and paid for the Xbox One S 500GB model from GameStop UK just after E3 in July, now I have to wait until October! By then I might think it better to transfer my money to the Nintendo NX or PlayStation Neo which offers some performance improvements.

I think five years is a very reasonable amount of time to keep your Gamertag reserved for you. If you want it all you need to do is log in once on Xbox Services - possibly from PC as well? If you do lose the Gamertag, Microsoft should still keep your achievement list live so you can use it with a new Gamertag.

'Only 6GB on disc' what a silly comment! The quality of a game is not determined by the file size. A game like Uncharted 4 made with a cutting edge 3D engine that has pre-made levels will fill a blu-ray. But a game like No Man's Sky or Minecraft that are PROCEDURALLY GENERATED will be a lot smaller. It's probably best to know what that means before writing ignorant headlines.

Holy-Moly, this is major news. This means gamers on a budget or who want convenience will use an Xbox One, but gamers with powerful PC will likely use that for their Xbox gaming especially as it will deliver greater performance. Undoubtedly this will affect console sales for Microsoft - i'm now wondering if this is a soft exit of the console market.

Not good enough. Microsoft have touted the Scorpio as 4K. 60fps is now accepted as the economically realistic ideal. A game at 4k 30fps will still be fine, but that doesn't match the boasts of what was said on MS' E3 stage and after.
