I'm a rally fan, and a fan of earlier CM titles. 20% rally content in Dirt2 ? Man, that game is $70 in Canada.. 20% of that is $14.

now the PS3 menu is littered with ads and means to buy sh!t from PSN. The elegant and efficient menu is gone. I'm sure gonna miss it. Even the damn ticker at top right is constantly hucking stuff even when you think you're not looking..
Sony, please do your own thing man, you were doing so well, don't marr the progress. At least give us the option to customize the friends list and ticker. Small things, but small things annoy the most..
I'm writing this using my PS3. cool...
3.0 is like any other ps3 firmware update... you really have to dig to see what's new.. Obviously the new floating menu XMB with sparkles. The "What's New" button that links you to some games that you own, PSN, Q etc. You can revert to how the XMB loked in 2.8 in "display settings" I think..

They don't implement these features because Sony doesn't force them to be implemented the way Microsoft does.

WOW. Dudes. This means in cokpit view you'll be able to turn your head left and right and see cars next to you, without using the controller. Sweet set-up if you have a wheel, which with this game is a must!

Spec for spec, dollar for dollar the PS3 is a much better bargain.
It's a fairly open platform (peripherals like bluetooth headsets, keyboards, interchangeable hard drives) and now that Sony is selling manufacturing licences for 3rd party peripherals, you will have even more options with controllers etc.

Custom soundtracks and split screen would have jumped this game into the stratosphere for the PS3.
in full surround sound this game sounds like you're out in the field with tank shells flying over your head. Best sound design in a video game. The only other that comes close is Confrontation.
For both Bad Company and Confrontation, the audio engineers went out and recorded actual tank-shells flying over their heads, machine guns, echos everything.
Amazing.
