So much wasted potential. Especially Rule of Rose. Man, that game should have been amazing.
I love MGS4's music, but these are far from the best tracks in it.
I like Tomb Raider and I like open-world games, but I don't think the two will mix well. Everything is going open world these days, and I worry that will be at odds with the puzzley nature of the series and it will end up being just a poor Zelda clone. Then again, Crystal D made Soul Reaver and that game was open world and fantastic and felt rather Tomb Raider-like.
Good "for a Wii game" just doesn't cut it anymore.
It looks like a really violent Zack & Wiki. I'm sure the story will be crap and the third-person combat looks the same, but the devious puzzles lend themselves well to a videogame.
I'm not opposed to the idea of DLC, though I've yet play any DLC that matches the quality of the parent game. Maybe Point Lookout or The Lost and Damned will change my mind, but those are sadly more of the exception than the rule.
What I played of the game was rather good. They got the wrangling mechanic down pat and the writing was right up therewith the first movie.
Old Snake FTW!
I'm playing Majora's Mask right now on the VC and loving it. It's definitely smoother than the Zelda CE GC port and well worth the $10 to play it the way it was intended.
They're only sort of in the same universe. Portal is more like a spin-off in an alternate universe as it's so tonally different than the rest of the series. That, and the two characters are so wildly different and excellent in their own way.
He was the real #11. Super Joe was going to be on there no matter what.
Is it just me or is the Conduit one of the ugliest games to come out in years? Graphics are technically proficient, but has no soul.
Game would have been 10x better with the NIN remix they used in the movie trailer playing the whole time. Amirite?
I'll definitely have to check this out, but first I'll have to get Broken Steel just to raise the level cap. I wish they'd made that a feature that came with all post Broken Steel DLC.
Great interview. Voice-acting always seemed like a dream job to me, but only because the pros make it look so easy.
I like the idea of Heavy Rain, but I'm not yet sold on Heavy Rain itself. The concept of a choose-your-own-adventure movie is intriguing- I just don't think Heavy Rain looks like a particularly good movie. I'm generally not a fan of serial killer thrillers, but there are some exceptions. Hopefully this will be one, but I'm keeping a healthy dose of skepticism.
Up there with Brutal Legend as my Game of Show.
Silent Hill 2 is a great example. It would have felt right at home in this article, but it was already way longer than I'd expected and I had to keep it concise.
Leave it to Kojima to prove everyone wrong. Those live-action commercials were among the highlights of the game for me.
I wish I had an iphone. How else will I show people I'm evil?
