do the same...Im a 360 fan. I'm also on my third and by the way my latest machine has been acting soon to be 4th 360. I'm getting sick of being afraid everytim i start my system it will either A)fail B) scratch up whatever game is in its mouth at the time or C) get the disc read error, which then sets me back 45 minutes to my last save point. my ps3 has been getting more and more play lately. Ps3 is not without its faults though...the no upscaling from 720p to 1080i issues are still a tho...

Part of me says PS3, I've always played grand theft on ps so stick to my roots. BUT, I have the the annoying problem, which SONY has SWEPT under the rug, I might add, for being a early adopter HD CRT TV owner, who can't play more then half of ps3's library in HD because my tv does not output 720p, only 1080i...(any ps3 game that only supports 720p, I get bumped down to 480p, for the n00bs out there)and the ps...

If the wii sells most units agai this year. I have had the system since day one...never play it. always on my 360 and more and more begining to turn on my ps3 for more then just movies. The wii has had zelda, which was also a gamecube game, paper mario, metroid, and mario...other then that the system has no games with any substance. I totally agree with you...I had never heard of that chip before this article and i am on games sites all the time, have every current (besides from psp) system and most systems of the past. Besides, most people who have ds are kids in the U.S. I highly doubt parents are buying this chip along with the system for their kid.

yes, u dont understand. I bought a crt hd tv, the problem with this, which i didnt think was going to be a problem until the ps3 came out was that my tv only supports 480i/p and 1080i. With the 360 if game is native 720p it will upconvert the signal to 1080i. with the ps3 bluray plays fine with 1080i/p, ps2 games play fine 1080i, upconverted dvds with display in 1080i, but ps3 games if native resolution is 720p with not convert to 1080i like the 360 does, unless the devs implement this (ep...
I hear what your sayin....I have my ps3 hooked up to hdmi as well, and guess what? more then half of the ps3 games out there will STILL get knocked down to 480p for Sony lack of supporting all HD formats, but HD is in their DNA
I agree with you...i went through plenty of ps2's in my day as well and finally gave up on them. Ps1 days of having to stand it up on its side to run etc...I atleast usually got 1+ years of running service before they would bite the dust. Not one of my 360's has made a year yet...I think the longest working machine I have had has been 10 months
