True, but no more than those who had a PS3 out of warranty and got the YLOD. People buy replacements when the warranties ware off. it's the nature of the beast....however, while MS has a 3 year warranty, Sony only has a 1 year warranty. One could make the argument that more people could be replacing their PS3's more often than people replacing their 360's due to the PS3 warranty being 1/3 the length.
I hope they added in the new Nissan Juke. Fingers crossed.
So we shouldn't be looking at meta scores (ratings) and we shouldn't be looking at sales (indication of demand for that product)....

1. Timed exclusives. If MS can sway a multi-console owner into purchasing the game on the 360, then that will create a larger community thus swaying other players to also purchase the game on that system. Not to mention, it shows strength on that console and will help entice other developers to either have the game exclusive on the 360 or prevent it from being exclusive on other systems. How did Gears 3 get "pimped" slapped?
Gears was a closed beta that required several ways in order to get in, and that wasn't even a guarantee that you would get in.
Uncharted 3 had an open beta where EVERYONE could join in and ONLY 1.53 million joined in.
That means there was ONLY a difference of 240,000 players more in Uncharted 3. That's terrible when it was a FREE OPEN Beta where EVERYONE could have played in it which is...
High Pre-orders is just an indicator. There is no "fact" that a pre-order count will result in high overall sales. It's more likely that it will, but doesn't mean it will.
A great example to this is Killzone 2's pre-orders.

I think this is a very good implementation. However, Gears is "geared" the the hardcore primarily and most of the sales will come from individuals that have either played Gears 1, 2 or played in the beta.
I think that the community of casual gamers that play Gears 3 online will have a very very small community and will eventually be so small that many of the casual matches will have the bots in it.

I absolutely agree that MS is 3rd when it comes to the number of exclusives and 1st parties. Anyone would be a fool to argue that point with you.
However, in terms of sales for their exclusives, there is no denying that MS have some of the biggest and most popular franchises on the market (which can be seen by reviews accompanied by sales). Aside from Nintendo. Not sure why MS would even mention Nintendo...But over Sony, there is no mista...
