Xbox will be here for the long haul, and still be owned by M$. New leadership is in place, now the Don has been removed the brand over this next year (2014) or so will ride out the s-storm and focus on improving.
New games will be announced, apps will find there way onto the service, and as always fan-boys will swap insults.
Looking forward to my lower res gaming.
It's looks like XMB, I was hoping for something along the lines of the new (PSN) store.
A great read, Y2K, remember it well.
Xbox Live will no doubt be the driving force of next gen gaming and connectivity.
PlayStation and Sony might have a more desirable product at the moment, but if their online infrastructure (for next gen) is the same as what they have now, they will get left behind.
This gen will all be about software and services, Xbox 360 and PS3 laid the foundations for online gaming and apps.
Both Xbox One and PS4 will improve that, really looking forward to the 22nd, and the 29th.
Not a day one edition, a 14 day early edition.
The fish in the images. :)
It's just a pity Sony can't get the Sky Go/Player app on PS4.
I worked as a video game journalist many years back. Been subject to various NDA's and embargo's from MSFT, Activision and others.
Let me just say, when something is controlled it is for a reason, most of it is for fairness.
The big media conglomerates, are NOT getting review consoles early is simply because, issues are ongoing. And patching needs to be implemented.
Are these in 720p?
Minecraft on PS4, now that will look awesome in 1080p.
I'm sure whatever the 720/1080p fiasco turns out to be, the games will be good, on either platform.
The Stevie G and Spock is an awesome ad.

Pre-orders are only pre-orders. Not a guaranteed sale. Some of those old Xbox fans who jumped ship at the Xbox reveal, will most likely have come back to the fold.
And adverts like, that new Xbox One, featuring Stevie G, and Spock will sway the lesser core gamer over to M$.
Actually the support for the psp was pretty good. Throughout its life-span it had over 800 games and over 330million games sold ( http://www.scei.co.jp/corpo...
The support for the Vita is picking up. Rome wasn't build in a day.
@zeal0us Neither was Ryse: Son of Rome. :)
It will be 720p @60 on both PS4 and XB1. To accommodate 64 players.
It's all about the games, and both platforms will have great games.
If one sells more than the other, so what. If they both make a profit, then both platforms win.
Cubemen 2 on Wii U is cross-platform. Out either later this year or early next year.

You can always take a can of white spray paint to your X1, Kinect and controller.
Maybe it's going to be Namco Bandai's version of TitanFall, using the Zoids?
Snapping a game and looking up (IE) for walk-through guides would be pretty smart.
