Haha.
Cheeky.
Okay BeaArthur I see your point, but we'll have to agree to disagree.
LOL, ah the generation where anything below 100 is a failure. And I know the ps3 and 360 have a greater quantity of highly rated games and here's another hint: I enjoy them on the ps3 and 360 :)
EDIT: Sorry I cannot do better than a database for reviews. I really don't know what you want me to show you..
'when will people see that Sony know has tapped into the wii market...no more exclusives for the wii...this was the whole point of Move...'
----------------
I thought Nintendo's exclusives were 1st party and the rest is shovelware so that would be abit silly ;)
Okay I will use a few facts here. On metacritic the wii has 78 games 80 or above - excellent games and about 15-20% of games are below 50 - garbage games - that ain't a majority and even if it was, I got at least 78 excellent games to play :)
Hint: I buy the great titles and leave the shovelware. Its worked for the wii just like the ps2. Or do you have to buy 5 shovelware games for every good game now? Have they changed the rules again!? God damn.
And the highest rated exclusive of the gen ;)
LOL bu bu Sony was working on it all along...!
So was Nintendo and they actually released it as they were more commited. Now Sony and MS want to join in. Wii too please!
'Sure it is, if the roles were reverse you can bet your a$$ that Sony would be calling out Nintendo over the Wii.'
They would as that would be fair enough. But this is N4G and Sony could release the wii next year and somehow it would be Nintendo who copied them.
Note...
Never said anything like that.
Just saying what they are trying to estimate.
Thanks for using at least a few facts soxfan.
Yes they did but these are sellthrough numbers. ie. numbers that are in consumer hands not sold to stores.
I completely agree with you but I know why they won't include these features. They don't want to put off the casual player (and despite what many people think, they exist in numbers on the 360 and ps3), by adding features that may confuse them or not make instantly accesable for a quick race. Most people sadly don't care about things such as tyre wear, tyre temperatures, aerodynamics, downforce etc.
LMAO. You think a business strategy that aims to make money is unique to Nintendo? I hope you don't plan to go into business in anyway then.
As for not caring for a fanbase, they are catering for them with highly rated games. I have also enjoyed many new franchises on the wii, as I have on the ps3 too. Hate is a bad thing you know.
Haha!
Sony and Nintendo to any extent are in a tough position at the minute. Making extra consoles than originally planned is a tough process. It could be done though, certinaly within months but both companies have to consider whether it is worth the additional costs to make and ship more consoles than they have budgeted for. If strong demand is not thought to last then I guess its best to play it safe and grin and bear shortages until May I guess.
VgChartz get their numbers from various stores and based on these results estimate the total sales. In other words they do exactly what NPD does just with less hard numbers. As a result there is a greater margin of error. Its on the site.
These numbers will be relatively close ballpark numbers.
Damn I don't see ps3 fans in media create sales threads complaining its only Japan. Hmm someone mentioned brainwashed fans up there. Maybe some people shouldn't just completely attribute that to the 360.
Woah Alpha-male this is n4g leave that sort of talk out of here. Try neogaf if you want to have a discussion.
No probs Oner
Bubbles back :)
Chinatown wars ran best on the DS.
And Chris above I think your missing the point - games such as Crazy Taxi may not be the best but if they sell millions and gain marketshare. Marketshare is what matters even if they look like NES games. Thats the whole point.
