How ironic, the world's first ever PS3 Slim was sold in the Philippines.
Exactly. To them it's purely about money now. They don't care about establishing a loyal fanbase for new game franchises anymore. If all it takes is a couple a marios and a boat load of shovelware to make millions, why change your business strategy? They're doing amazing financially but are they giving back to the gamers? Nope.
He titled it "custom themes?" because it isn't. If you look closely he managed to change text in an encrypted system environment. Look at the top left of the pic, that's not a simple theme installation, it's a systems update aka firmware update. That's huge news! He's basically running his own code on the GameOS part of the PS3. It's one big step closer to custom firmwares or homebrew.
12x for DVD is not the same as say 12x for Bluray. Just because 12x sounds faster it's irrelevant to Bluray.

FLOP!!! LOL
We need more SP games with alternate endings.
All I need from motion controls are head tracking. The actual Move device I don't care about when it comes to GT5.
This is why MS fanboys are the WORST of the bunch.
Looks pretty average to me.
So he's annoyed because PS3 fanboys speak the truth? When we say things like FF13 dumbed down and content were cut off because of the 360, it isn't true? Seriously DVD and the 360 has its limits.
I actually agree with TheBlackSmoke @ 1.20
Well said man.
To the people that say it's too late, please STFU. It's never too late for them to get to the PS3. They admitted that they were wrong, what's so bad about welcoming them back? When Left 4 Dead 3 or Portal 2 lands on the PS3 with minimal to no flaws, you'll be eating your words.
No! What we need from GG is a whole different game not another shooter. I bet their K2 engine would look absolutely stunning in a platforming game. Invent a new character for the PlayStation brand.
Looks good no doubt about that but Medal of Honor? Man I never liked that franchise.
Gran Turismo 7 confirmed.
Nah in all seriousness, it's actually Twisted Metal with race mode. The hardcore Mario Kart. HAHA
That's more like it. Sounds like their code is getting more efficient.
Digital graffiti is what I'm waiting for the most. Sony's Arc is the perfect tech for it.
Now that's TRUE 1:1 motion. This is the motion tech we needed from the very beginning. Really glad Sony is doing it.
Natal on the other hand has a ghost effect with it's motion. Lags on every move.
Sony's Arc will succeed because big third party games that were meant only for the Wii is now going to be developed for the PS3 as well while Natal sits on the sidelines waiting for a dev team to make games for it.
Arc gets instant 3rd party support. Any devs that aren't on MS's payroll most definitely won't support it.
Haven't we learned from the iPhone that we need physical buttons. In Natal's case it's even worse. You can't feel anything to help with the experience. Is it a videogame revolution? No, Natal is equivalent to a dance exercise video.
