The point Microsoft is trying to make is that this
is primarily a games console. They have edged towards the Xbox becoming like a computer but will never cross that 'gap' because they want their to be differences. If the 360 was just a PC but cheaper....who would buy the PC??? They need both markets for double the profit.

It doesn't matter what Bungie does, i think it will always be good stuff. I've never seen a better development team, they are unrivalled, and that is special in a very saturated market of competition.

It's all about temptation people. You have truckloads of games coming out for 360 this fall, but where is the PS3 in Europe?
What are the little kids going to do? You promise them a next-gen console all year and then the PS3 is delayed. 360 is cheaper, here, now, with more games and more importantly MORE VALUE FOR MONEY. Brand power will always play a factor but it runs dry if you can see clear, plain, better value for money for a product that doesn't drastically look or play any worse...

I agree Bladestar. Microsoft has no threat this xmas. Not in any region (except Japan). I don't believe that Sony, a mega corporation are in such a mess. Xmas 2008, that will be the intersting holiday season worth watching out for. Mark my words. The Xbox 360 will be under threat then...

I think personality in a console matters to. Xbox had 'zero' personality. It was a brick, plain and simple. PS1 looked bland, PS2 like a toaster, and the gamecube? God that looked like a damn party box! The Dreamcast was a perfect example of personality as is the xbox 360. It's sleek, concave and iconic smooth power button and ring of light add just those little touches that are all important.
The PS3? How does this thing have personality? Grill-like in design, it's like the Hulk blown...
It's not a sad day as far as i'm concerned. Most overrated game ever.
