@critics "To truly understand any of it, you have to understand 'Game genres' and then 'Role Playing Game'" you basically mislabeled all your games as arpgs, which is games like Diablo, Grim Dawn, PoE and the likes. Baldur's Gate and DA would be considered crpgs. AC is not a platformer, Uncharted isn't a puzzle game or a platformer, 3rd person shooters are basically always cover shooters.
You displayed almost no knowledge of the genres so I...
comment shows your lack of any sane mindset, I thought this article was about FF not Diablo. When you gonna make that fallout shelter in case the console wars gets worse?
it is not, just because Obsidian said they wouldn't mind making it, doesn't mean its any more likely. They also plenty of times stated that they want to make their own IP's, so which one is it?
@S2Kill so they should undersell their games? that makes 0 sense.....if they "overhype" it you will have something to complain and if they underhype it, you will do exactly the same, so there's no winning with you regardless. do you even realize how dumb it sounds: "a company is bad cause they're trying to make one of their products look good".
when did that change? till yday my friend who plays sorc has no mana issues once she invested into her mana regen
for me it's really gonna depend on how good the base game + battlepass cosmetics look, I won't be shelling out 10 euros+ for a skin. paying 10 bucks for a battlepass every 3 months is fine, but the armor better looks at least good.
it's the game I'm looking forward to the most this year, hard choise between FF16 and BG3, but the replayability of BG3 kinda shifts me that way.
right.....shows about how much you know about D4 while still calling it simple
note to self: Never engage or listen to Chris to anything when it comes to D4
Fomo? You really think millions of players will go for this day 1? no....it's just something cool that gives the neckbeards something to compete over, stop being a salty lil biash. From now on every game that does a competition (ikr crazyyyyyyyyyy, competing in a game), instead of having fun and a good comp...
that's what you take away from this message? something that we basically already knew. Those marketing tricks of "throw em a bone" really does work it seems.
At this point I'm getting worried about Factions, I hope it'll turn out well but this doesn't really sound promising.
@masterfox wdym? Diablo has basically always been a game that you could play together. That you had to read the wiki to see what kind of game Diablo is says enough for me. I actually played both series and know what I'm talking about, you seem to miss half of that. I think Diablo 1 was the first game that used battlenet when Blizz created it, it has always had a huge focus on multiplayer/trading.
The thing that people don't like about the online part of D4 is that i...
the fuck you're even comparing them for? If you buy Diablo 4 you will get all the content (besides cosmetics) for free until they launch an expansion. I also wish there was no battlepass etc, but if it means getting a numbered Diablo game that doesn't get forgotten almost instantly after launch, I'll live with it. It will live or die by the quality of their updates, arpgs/mmos will never be able to be in the best state possible at launch anyway.
I'll probabl...
I agree, but I can't see that team pulling it of. Their PvE content in the past has been terrible. Yes I had fun with some of it, but in general it was very low quality.
I really enjoyed 2, but it really felt like OT 1.5 and not like OT 2. I was quite disappointed with how samey it was.
yes, but then again they will only do it in a relatively small market. As soon as it costs them too much money they will crawl back.
I certainly don't agree with this review, but I also don't think that we all should be a hivemind. Often enough I really like a game that got mediocre/bad reviews, should I now also give it a bad score just because the majority does? Technical/performance issues are a huge dealbreaker for me so I won't be praising this game, but you have to keep in mind that people measure with different measurements.
@sully oh it's far from a perfect launch, you won't hear me denying that, but the things you mentioned don't even come close to what a dumpsterfire 76 was (unless they start selling bags for Redfall )
@sully it's not. Not having a 60 fps mode and online only is F76 launch disaster? You don't know what you're talking about. Not even gonna elaborate further because you'll probably keep talking in hyperbole, because you got an agenda.
yeah, apparently physical copies are a thing for the 0.1% now.....pathetic
cause it's been known for 5+ years now that wow is gonna suffer a slow and painful death, we can't make articles about a game now because another game (supposedly) suffers from similar issue?
console andy's died by the blade for 30 fps until this gen, so it's not that odd for an article like this. The people who called out pc "elitist" are now being the elitist against 30 fps, funny how things go.
Haven't paid too much attention to this, I just hope it runs well on pc so I don't have to deal with 30 fps.
