dido i just got back into mine after years just to comment on this!
I have been using HDMI 1.4 on my PC for a while running 4k @60 with HDR without any issues. A good gauge cable will handle that just fine at HDMI 1.4
HDMI 1.4 works fine with HDR
I am hoping that the camera will only be this limited in the demo.. i really like being able to pan around your car freely..Sony please fix this..
By now it would have been standard as tesla sent power across miles of distance not just inches...
It sells with composite cables. What a joke. Controller needs charging out of the box to use it. So you have to sit there with the 4 ft cord (i mean could it not have been at least a long usb cable)waiting to get enough juice to even use it.
HD-DVD has been HD 1.0,1.1 and 2.0 complient since the start...All of sonys bluray players including the ps3 are not..so all early adopters and PS3 owners are in for a surprise come 2008 .....Look it up and see...

Including the PS3 player..That one is the also not 1.1 complient..And there isnt a complient player going to be out for almost a year..Dennon will be releasing one in about a year as it got pushed back.. HD-DVD's HDI software owrks Much better than BD-J..In fact its being talked about as being hard to program for , hmm seems like sony like to make things hard on them selves..And to the above comment by TORCH..What are all these people including the PS3 owners going to do when they find out th...
How does that prove that sony isnt screwing poeple left right and center..Calm down there...Wait and see like i said...wait and see..
BLu ray is crap and its true.. deal with it...why do you question logic...sony lies lies and lies again and you follow...HD - DVD is the smarter choise, fanboyism not included..sony is trying to make up for their bad business pratices by selling crap tech you will see..
Soon your movie selection will get much smaller, and who needs HDMI and or course you do get it on the newer models, and true HD update was done not too long ago...so i dont think thats an issue..Besides who cares even about the addon..All blu ray players are rip offs especially the gameless station..I was going to gubuy it as a movie machine, but as it turns out it sucks at that too...and its controller is hurting...no good for FPS wehre as the 360 one is good for all...Not some chep analog ...
If independant movie makers try that..If big companies arent flipping the dime to make this crap format and seell it. Then why would a small comany like independants? And why would they when HD is better and cheaper.. Please sony will never accomplish a format takover im sorry to burst your bubble..There too incompetant to do so...
This link it will point out the hopefull death to blue and sony for there ubundant lies, root kits and BS...

Soon Sony will enlisting in the services of HD-DVD to sell there movies
Dont you think they should first fix there issues with the dual layer discs before we cans state that..I havenet seen confimation on them moving to the dual layer yet, still stuck at 25 gigs..Which means currnely even HD DVD's hold more data..Reagardless though the players in the PS3 are useless at the currnet read speeds.. So it dont matter if it holds 3 terrabytes..Sonys fault for not getting BLURAY ready in time for the station..If they were so eager to use it they should have made the rea...
I agree that the extra space can be good i mean sure you can do more...But not when the technology isnt rady for gaming..Im sory but the reasd spead is pathetic on the Blueray..The format hasnt even been proven in movies yet and you want to put it in a games system..Furthermore if you are using it as a movie player your just killing your optical drive that much faster..Judging by soonys track recond on opticals that isnt a good thing..So yia maybe in the next gen we will see a technology eith...
The commentator states that hte system provides the highest resolution possable.. Ok so your telling me the 360 doesnt have the same capabilites..Ah yes it does 1080 P with wicked antialiasing not like the choppyness i fine in PS3 games..Im not a fanboy but the 360 does have the same if not better graphical capability thank you very much..Also HDDVD is actually the same resolution wise as the blueray in the PS3...Also it has more interactive features etc.. so he knows nothing..
You could also buy a 1 tb ssd with an exclosure for $99 ish and that would run pretty good and also transfer to the internal faster if needed.
