For how long though, until the PS5 comes out? That's a last-ditch move by Microsoft to try and stay relevant, and very few devs will support it, mark my words (and this works for the PS4 Pro too, there, I said it. Well, except for the first-party devs obviously).

To be perfectly honest I couldn't see a difference as it was just a stream on Twitch I saw (notwithstanding the fact that I don't own a PS4, even base model, yet), but what I heard sounds interesting. But I found the omission of UHD BR support really odd. I could tell right away from Andrew House's rather troubled look that they didn't have everything in place to make it such a wow moment, partly due to all the leaks on the internet prior to their event.

As an xbox fanboy you might have your 15 minutes of glory, but it won't leave any mark on the wall, as we're already in the middle of this gen and Sony has already won it and will come up with a much more powerful console than xbox one scorpio only about a year or so after that one is released, lol

All that talk about 4K and HDR and UHD BR comes way too early anyway. This gen will soon be at an end, and the NEXT GEN will make full use of all those buzzwords, when 4K TVs have penetrated the worldwide market more than today.
Still, it's a nice free update for the happy few.

These games aren't available for the PS4 I suppose, so PS4 gamers will have to content themselves with No Man's Sky, which isn't so bad. Look at the level detail in Evochron Legacy when you land on a planet, it's not all that impressive... like at all compared to NMS.
The webpage sure is "nowloading" for me, I can't see the article. Good to know it can take some 24 hours to walk around some planets though. This too is a step in the right direction. Some people don't understand that No Man's Sky, in addition to being a good game, is more importantly about making a breach in which later games will follow in to drastically increase the size of game worlds.

The colors are less washed out, but I think it lacks detail in places (look at the joker's face)
But overall it's not a bad job: 0:43 is actually pretty spectacular, 4:06 also (look at the fur on Penguin's cloak), 4:16, 4:28 is impressive (look at the leather texture on Catwoman's glove)

Frankly, I'm not sure releasing a beefed up PS4 next year, when the PS5 could be coming out 3 years from now (that would be just two years after that hypothetical release I'm talking about) would make sense business-wise, especially when they know now MS have that oh-so-powaful system coming out next year. Best save the resources for the actual PS5, what with them knowing they have already won this gen and all.
