What do you mean by "re-seat the HDD"? If you mean to remove it, it wipes out all your data stored on it and you then have to reinstall all your games and everything after reinstalling it I believe. When you take into consideration the fact that all the games are entirely installed on the HDD this gen (for w/e reason), and they weigh anywhere between 30-60+ GB, err... :(
If VLC and other media players have the right to support HEVC/H265 (and H264 and all the others that came before), I can't think of any good reason why Sony wouldn't have the right to support it also.
Doesn't the Xbox One support HEVC/H265 codecs? I don't know, I'm just asking.
Anyway, Sony and MS should've since long replaced their media player with VLC, which is by far the best one, and available for free, just like they should've replaced their...
3,5 years in and that's it? We're already receiving nothing but a stream of "improves the quality of the system performance" updates?
When the f*ck are they going to update that cr@p PS4 media player and allow it to read HEVC files FFS?! I still can't watch my season 1 of Narco or my seasons 1-4 of House of Cards in 4K.
If anybody has a link to a website where we can submit our ideas for future system updates to those whipped-cream-filled melonheads wor...
Just googled it, yep it's only "console launch exclusive", as I thought.

Can't wait to play it on my PS4 Pro.
You can't possibly be serious when you say 8K is just around the corner or 2―3 years away when there's (as far as I know) only one TV set that can display 8K right now on the market and it costs 5000$. Most people are not keen on investing even 1000$, at least where I live in Europe, in their television, so it's gonna be a while before 8K becomes a mass―market tech.
I was flipping through the pages of one of my old home―cinema magazine the other day and was shocked to see...
That website again..."mspoweruser" ;...they actually are a Microsoft website, nowonder their articles reek of extreme fanboyism. The XOX looks like nothing special to me, its design is very bland.
Nice update, but all those things, the estates, buildings, warehouses and now this are stacking up on a map that now has to be deemed "small" compared to the ones found in more recent games like The Witcher 3. It's high time Rockstar came up with a map extension. Oh, and with an update for the single player protion of the game to let us enjoy all our acquisitions in GTA Online, but in the offline mode as well.
Speak for yourself, I'm glad no sequel to Bloodborne was announced as I still have to finish the first one, lol
It also reminded me of Fear Effect on the PS1. Don't know if a lot of people remember that game though.
Only "timed exclusive" if I remember correctly. Better be cause that one interests me.
I'm almost certain a new GTA game won't come out during this gen. Or there might be a remaster of sorts, or a GTA game that uses the assets found in previous GTA games (an expanded GTA V game taking place in the whole California/San Andreas state, or better yet a good 1/3 or 1/4 of the US along the pacific ocean would do it for me), just not GTA VI in my opinion. That will probably be for the PS5/Xbox One Two w/e.
On topic, now people are starting to realize they...
I've got mine in vertical position with the dedicated stand, and it looks great. Better than the normal PS4, better than my PS4 Slim, better than the 360 or that VCR-lookalike called the Xbox One. It looks almost as good as my good ol' PS3 Phat 60GB did, and that's saying a lot. It looks like a luxury item. The Xbox One X looks incredibly bland by comparison.
Over 60 million people seem to care.
The PS4 is also a solid alternative to play 3rd-party games, don't know what you're talking about. If devs didn't release an update for the PS4 Pro, I doubt they'll do it for the XOX. Batman Arkham Knight for ex. will be the same on both consoles. And frankly, even if they did, you'll need a microscope to be able to tell the difference. Also, there are more PS4s out there, so buying the game you're looking for in second hand will cost you less.
No, th...
Dammit, I really hope for their sake that "ms" in their website's name stands for "Microsoft" and they're getting a fat cheque for writing that. This article just reeks "fanboyism" to the most extreme level any mind on this planet can imagine.
"When November 7 comes, we’ll have dozens upon dozens of games which are significantly better on Xbox One X"
...I mean, lol, "dozens upon dozens"? You people are sure ...
I and several others called it a long time ago. Face it guys, 6tflops aren't anymore suited for native 4K than 4,2tflops are.
True native 4K on consoles will be for the Playstation 5, probably in 2020.
Yet Microsoft has been doing it for years now, parity deals I mean. But if Sony were to do it now it would be wrong of course...
Exxx―actly! Spot on! If I could tag your comment like we once could on N4G, it would probably be "helpful" or "intelligent". That answer that Jim Ryan guy gave didn't make much sense. It's obvious Microsoft has nothing to lose by doing that, since they're over 30 million consoles behind Sony, and it's highly likely they wouldn't be so keen on doing it if they were ahead, yes.
With that said, Sony is so much ahead of MS that, even if t...
I'm absolutely certain we'll get to play our PS4 games on the PS5. Like, 100% certain.
As for this however it's difficult to reason the decision to not allow it, yes, esp. since they've been doing it with PC for a while on some games. But apparently the door is still open, so we'll see.
And, what is EA Access?
I have a PS4 Pro and don't have that problem. But then again, I'm only in 1080p, not 4K.
