Suikoenbu guys! It's a great fighter with SFII like controls (light punch, middle punch, strong punch, etc) with a pretty good soundtrack. The backgrounds have aged a bit, but the game is still very good, with combos galore! Plus you can fight with or without your weapon. I'm surprised to see it on the US store. Sadly, it's not the kind of good surprise we should expect from SCEE... :(
FFS, someone fire the whole SCEE staff and copy/paste the SCEA staff over here ...
"Resistance 2: Terrible graphics! I mean just terrible. Barf!
Resistance 1: Good premise but terrible excruciation. Bad Graphics!
Gears of War 1/2: Freaking awesome games! Still top of line compared to other, more current games! Nuff said about that."
???
Hahahahahahahah ha ha hahaha hahahahaha! You're almost as funny as Frank Drebin himself buddy! LOL
On topic, I agree with most of what the author of ...
The openness of games these days is one of the most interesting element of new gen games in my opinion. Even though I haven't made much progress in TES IV Oblivion, because I'm at a loss at what I should do next, I still have a blast playing it every time knowing I'm entirely free to do whatever I want. At this rate, it will most definitely take me years to complete it (if I ever do manage to clear the game one day, that is), but I have a hard time going back to games that lock me...
to my surprise, the NES got Fatal Fury Special (a bootleg) back in the day, which was a Neo Geo game.
...of course the NES version looked nothing like the original Neo Geo game :p
Where is Wipeout HD???
LOL, Micro$oft crapping their pants at the thought of Gran Turismo 5 being released , hahahahahah haha haha! :D :D :D
"What could we do to keep them on board and stop them from going to the competition? What could we do? Oh shhhhh*t!!!"
;D
I see we have a bunch of relatively young PS gamers here (and over there on that website). How could anyone forget:
-Jumping Flash 1&2 (I want a JF 3 in HD on the PS3!!!)
-Motor Toon GP 1&2
-Loaded
-Driver 1&2
-Doom (yeah I know, a PC game originally, but the PS version was better, with its revamped soundtrack)& Final Doom
-Destruction Derby 1&2
-Philosoma
-Popolocrois
-Warhawk (&PS3 versi...
Gotta fire up the game to check that out. 3D dot game heroes will remain as one of the best surprise of this generation of consoles to me, along with LittleBigPlanet and Heavy Rain.
To the people who may be on their 1st playthrough of the game: clear it, restart a New Game +, it gets (even) better: much more enemies on the map, more quests, and increased difficulty.
And here is a site to find many many more custom-made characters (which can't be uploaded ...
off the PSN Store, and I regret it. I want my 8€ back, damn it. No wonder the Dreamcast got completely crushed by the PS2 with games like that, the game is damn near unplayable! You can't even access the Casino level!
Sh*t, should've spent these 8€ on Hustle Kings instead... I should probably consider myself lucky I don't have to "play" the "Game" (more like technical demo of the ill-fated DC actually, but w/e) with that infamous broken POS Dre...
I'm in the Beta and, much as I'd like to have the game in my hands as soon as possible, I have to admit there are many bugs to fix. And that, people, was to be expected with a game that has to be backwards compatible with over 3.000.000 levels created from LBP1. It's becoming extremely complex to get a game like LBP2 to run flawlessly with all of the core assets from LBP1 + LBP2 + all the user-created assets from LBP1 + LBP2.
Anyway, just like Sony says, it is key...
same here. I can sign in, but cannot enter the PS Store, as it says "This service is not available in your country", or something like that. I'm in Europe though, and I thought that PSN maintenance was just from SCEA..?
I don't have any 3D Blu-ray movies to try (or a 3D telly for that matter), but I don't have any problem signing into any of my accounts after updating my 60 Gig SKU PS3 with the new firmware, so I don't know how some of you guys can have problems.
That said, I didn't find anything new that wasn't there before. Neither that user report functionality or new facebook features...
looks like I'm gonna have to go out and buy a recent VG mag after all. :(
One with an interview with Bobby Kotick, just so I can photograph his face with my PS Eye and create a Duck Hunt clone in the upcoming LittleBigPlanet 2...
...guess who's gonna play the role of the duck? ;D ;D ;D
En es-tu bien sûr...??? ;)
talking trash about Sony & the Playstation brand, but always keen on generating their daily fix of hits by reporting the real news from SCE as well (which are pretty much the obligatory bread & butter of gaming journalism as a whole, news from Sony I mean).
So, which is it? Sony is the devil, or the firm that feeds you?
Kotaku is the most hypocritical piece of trash website of the whole interweb.
now we can all agree, at long last, that Gamekult is a crap website whose reviews shouldn't be linked to N4G, then? And I mean ALL reviews, no matter if they're XBOX360 or PS3 reviews, right? Right?
I hope some of you who read this and may agree with me, will remember it next time they trash a PS3 game (or any other system from any other brand you may not like), before you have a knee-jerk reaction and automatically submit their next review for approval on N4G...
Way to go Microsoft, you've got your own Uncharted 2 Among thieves or Killzone 2 right there, lol.
At this point, Microsoft should just grovel before Sony and beg them on their knees while putting a mountain of cash before them, for one Xbox 360 exclusive developped by one of Sony Worldwide Studio, even that would be less of an embarrassment than the dire situation they're in.
I have more than this guy. Not in the PS3 department particularly (yet), because I'm kinda broke right now and can't afford all the PS3 games that have come out and are going to come out, but I have a collection of over 150 games spanning the 3 generations of Playstation. Considering I've been gaming almost exclusively with the PS brand for 15 years, that's an average of 10 PS games/year, which is not bad I think.
I actually owned more, but there used to be a ...
almost complete absence of exclusives for their system is fishy...a corporation that intends to stay for a long time in this industry would have invested in studios, especially a corporation that's filthy rich. Just saying... don't get too attached to the xbox brand, folks. You've been warned.
The lead-free solders. Seems to me adding lead to the soldering points of the PS3's circuit board wouldn't have seriously jeopardized the preservation of the environment, but yeah, I understand why sony did it. But still, dammit, a few extra products that contain lead out there wouldn't have killed anyone.
