this is great advice but the price drop would only screw Sony's hardware loss even more than 400 per console. Yah right, the only way they could even break even is if blu-ray wins. Which is still very foggy and could change directions like the wind.

gametime you surpass stupidity. You say GOW is all hype. Let's look at the FACTS and not your dillusions.
Epic has said blatantly that they don't hype this, and they don't. They don't need to it's the consumers that look at the proof and say after E3, there's my Killzone 2 not in CGI.
Epic has done minimal to no hype and if you have examples back them up. Which I'm sure you don't, they don't overpromise and under deliver like Sony.

All this talk about games sales versus one another is all skewed. How about compare the #games to the total amount of systems sold.
That is the only fair way to judge a games impact. So for Halo 2 it'd be around 6/20, and for GT it'd be around 6/100. Those aren't exact numbers but you get the idea.
It's all about relativity, just cause 10% buy a racing game doesn't make it good, it just means that around 10% like racing. Same for halo but the impact is unma...

yes because the PS2 was 300, and the PS3 is 600. Also the PS2 didn't really sell until it reached 200 bucks...that claims supported by 1up.com. 200 dollars is the price that PS3 will not reach in the next 5 years, checkmate.
