Ed Wood considered "Plan 9 from Outer Space" his masterpiece, and while it is a fun campy movie, it was nowhere near anything I would call quality.

Well I guess it's only proper that Gene Simmons (the Rock world's original sellout), narrates the asinine story of this god-awful game franchise.
thankfully I grew out of the guitar hero interest after the 2nd incarnation, and it looks like I got out of it at the right time, considering every one afterwards was a shitfest.
...it is also probably the most accurate list of the worst NES games ever.
At any given point during the ages of 4-10, I have probably rented and played 18 out of these 20 games, most of which got played for all of 5 mins until I gave up figuring them out and they sat on my TV for the next 4 days until the rental had to be returned (back in the 80's and 90's, there wasn't such a thing as "this game sucks let me rent a different one" policy)
...and she has more or less inadvertently ruined any respectable female's chances of ever professionally racing again.
She's a mediocre race car driver at best, and a world-class sellout, but I guess she had to do something, considering her racing skills most likely weren't paying her bills.

I can totally see apple releasing a console...naming it something stupid like the iGame or something dumber than "pippin" anyway (their last failed console, for those who dont know).
I can see this iGame having a horribly underpowered processor, games programmed in HTML5, 4GB of storage...
and all the other ultra-HD resolutions that are gonna make all of our TVs obsolete within the next 5 or so years.

After completing DTR: Retribution and working my way through GTA4: Episodes, I have been DYING for this game to come out.
Pre-ordered over 3 months ago...that's how hyped I've been for this game

...I can honestly say that my $50 a year didn't get me a whole lot of interesting extras.
And I can't even remember the last time PSN randomly disconnected me, I can however remember the last time I played a game on XBL only to hear 14-year-olds dropping the F- and N-bomb like it was going out of style.
And as for backward compatibility? Granted I still have my 60GB, I can say with absolute honesty I haven't even had the desire to play a PS2 game in over two years. ...
and then when it came out on PS3, I pretty much lost my last standing reason for hanging onto my 360, much less the Gold Account that was gonna be up for renewal in the next month.
I will say with full honesty that while the 360 Netflix GUI was smoother...that's literally all that was better. Other than having to use a disc, the PS3 Netflix works just as well. It's just as fast, just as easy to use.

A good coherent, interesting story takes time and skill, which in turn drains precious dollars from the development budget.
Now bear in mind this dev budget also needs to cover design, testing, mo-cap, music and foley, more testing, all of which are more important to the functionality of a game product than a story.
And as far as I know, when it comes to making cuts, details on the story (usually cutscenes) ...
...he's just a lucky one. He got his family back and that makes for a great heart-warming read, but everyone needs to realize that this story is an exception and most certainly not the rule.
However, I still personally believe that, like any "addiction", it is most certainly not an illness. He does a good job inadvertently describing that and I applaud him for taking personal responsibility and having the, albeit rare, willpower it took to remove himself from the game...

I can see this blowing up in a flash and going out just as quickly. I have owned a Wii before and there was a reason it collected dust for a good year before I finally sold it, because the controller is gimmicky, and quite honestly, not being able to lay across the couch and accurately play a game irks me.
