To tell the truth I am not interested in the game.
The series no longer provides the tension and overall scary environment that the series had become famous for.
For a co-op scary infected/zombie game I recommend Left 4 Dead. For a scary infected single player game I recommend Dead Space.

That answers for the big guys but still does not solve the issue for the smaller developers I mentioned.

This could put a dent in the more expensive and more popular titles though. Think about it. The publisher has to consider costs for media advertisements(TV, Web, Print, Billboards, etc.), paying the developer their cut, paying to actually produce the physical medium or to host any internal infrastructure for the game(if needed) as well as support for both B2B(business to business: retailers for example) and B2C (business to consumers).
In harsh economic times publishers and developers a...

Bioware = excellent developers. I just hope they keep up the trend they have going for quality stuff.

These are the people who also made System Shock 1 and 2.
Make games with a unique and involving atmosphere is something these guys do and do well.
So unless they try stepping outside of what they do well, Bioshock 2 will be good as well.

I'm more interested in Street Fighter 4, BioShock 2 and Bionic Commando. Also don't foget that Burnout Paradise Ultimate came out for the PC. That is a good one.

A Steam version would expand their audience even further.
I hope they don't do steam exclusively though. As much as I like steam games, the service has been too unstable lately and as removed the fun factor from some of games at times. Examples: authentication dropping while still online, unlocked achievements/weapons disappearing in the middle of a TF2 game(happened to me and everyone on a server about a day ago), bad server match making in L4D (sometimes it takes half an hour for a gr...

Yup I agree, at least according to how they state their policy.

It will probably get play on the PC, but perhaps not as much as their console counterparts. It will however be enough for them to profit from it. Anywy you look at it its a potential revenue stream for them.

To be more accurate, games like Enemy Territory Quake Wars, The Orange Box and Left 4 Dead sold far more on PC than they have on their Console counter parts. This information has come straight from the developers themselves.
So it is not accurate to say that they will not sell well. If the game is good enough, it sells and sells WELL.

Being someone who has gone completely to PC gaming after my the last generation of consoles, I am happy with this. I thought I would miss out on fighting games, but seeing a huge release like Street Fighter IV coming to the PC gives me hope and yet another use or my gamepad.

Why would a game developer limit a potential market.
Especially in today's development style where most of the game assets are created and developed on PCs first. This is especially true for the Unreal Engine based games(Assassin's Creed, Gears of War, etc.)considering that the Unreal 3 Engine was developed for PCs first.

It would seem that DRM on even consoles fails hard, those that are getting loose with DRM restrictions are getting good sales. A good example would be Sins of a Solar Empire.

That is odd. The last GameStop I went into still had a PC Game section. Perhaps the demographic for the area you are in does not buy many PC games. I say buy them off newegg. Many have free shipping and tend to be far cheaper than physical retail stores.

Thats crazy. If AMD can pull this off then maybe they can get back some of the performance respect they lost with the original Phenom release.

I'd have to say 2007 is the clear winner.
