^^ I've got a huge backlog too(some games still in the seal) but I will still be getting a PS4 Day 1 as I have with all of their consoles so far. No way am I going to miss out on getting my hands on KZSF and Drive Club straight away, and also just to play around w/ the new console.
I'm sure it's just a place marker. If this were anywhere near the right price, you'd have to wonder if MS were trying to exit the gaming business altogether, which I don't believe to be the case.
"This hardware does a remarkable job of filtering out game noise and other background noise in order to pick out voice commands. It can even use the cameras to see who in the room is looking at the TV and whether their mouth is moving in order to ramp up accuracy."
////IT CAN EVEN USE THE CAMERAS TO SEE WHO IN THE ROOM IS LOOKING AT THE TV AND WHETHER THEIR MOUTH IS MOVING IN ORDER TO RAMP UP ACCURACY////

This is old news; moreover it's inaccurate.

"One of the more interesting Xbox One patents that Microsoft is trying to secure, is a patent that would allow Xbox One owners to gain ACHIEVEMENTS by WATCHING TELEVISION, something that the famous ‘Getglue’ application already does with social-networking systems.
The DIFFERENCE is the amount of data that Microsoft can OBTAIN while these shows are running."
I've officially run out of words...
Well frigid and Count are here.. we're just missing "negative" for the trifecta of fail.
Just tell me which one my Mom, sisters, and my girlfriend's sorority sisters aren't playing and I'll tell you which one looks better.

One of the most horrible sites (design & layout - wise) I've visited in a long time. Almost gave me a headache just dodging around all that crap, not to mention the author seems very immature and uninformed. Next...
"Microsoft did not mention any of this during their Xbox One debut, but it doesn’t take a futurist to see where it’s going. Assuming we can past the privacy issues that some of these ideas will raise, this is going to be big. The time is now for all of us in marketing and advertising to start planning for this exciting interactive sell. I’ll wager that the ideas marketers come up with to take advantage will be as exciting as the technology itself."
Wow... listening ...
"In the end, it’s simple to see why the PS4 is 50% more powerful than Xbox One. With more raw shader performance (768 SPs @ 800MHz vs. 1152 SPs & 800MHz) and faster RAM bandwidth (1.84 TFLOPs vs. 1.23 TFLOPs), the PS4 outclasses Xbox One in every way possible and no conversation of PowerPC vs. Cell processor is needed this time around."

I'm sorry... call me cynical or hard edged, but I believe a "so called journalist's", defense of Microsoft's obvious business goals and projections from what they showed us [at the outset] on May 21, 2013 as just a one part preview of a two part episodic reveal (the latter concluding at E3), is simply nothing but veiled corporate blocking.
I mean why did he need to bring Sony and Nintendo into a discussion about Hell week for Microso...

...yeah he had better say that.

run out of gifs to make for the XBOX1. It's really fkn everything up in the universe right now and beginning to tear the time-space continuum.

"Microsoft will actually have another opportunity to serve as it makes its E3 announcement a few hours before the ball lands in the court of Sony, which has previously offered TV viewing and recording capability with PlayTV in Europe. With a richer living room legacy than either of its main competitors, Sony will be under the gun to show that it has not abandoned its heart in the living room as it has turned its head toward the cloud."
