Yep, I love the simple, minimalist look. Doesn't look as busy and mechanical as the XMB although the XMB has served me well.
I'm just looking for Sony's next UI upgrade on the PS4 and this sneak peek looks promising.
Yeah I think it goes hand in hand when you have created the engine that your games will follow that unique and organic feeling that makes them so like the devs you pointed out. There's no doubt that these people love creating and are very concerned with the finished product. That just spells win for everyone involved with their projects. From the artists, and the sanitation workers that clean up at night, to us the gamers. It's all good.
Guerilla is at the top of ...
Yeah but Darth you're forgetting the advent of the age of the internet. The SNE/MS battle has gained much more attention in the eyes of "fans" and casual onlookers and seems much bigger because of the reach and instant power of the webz.
I'm not disagreeing with your historical record, just saying that in the minds of the modern, SNE vs. MS seems much bigger and relevant.
"The only way xbox one could do some damage in sales compared to the ps4 is if it was released in 2012."
I think this is what you meant to type. :)
So maybe this is the day that anon will shut down all of One's services because of their DRM hubris and desires?
Interesting date to say the least.
"KZ: Shadow Fall” has an enormous legacy to live up to, at least in the minds of Sony fans.. (sic)..not to worry though, Killzone: Shadow Fall has been built to please and will definitely make use of the PS4’s extended graphical capabilities via its in-house engine, Umbra 3. Needless to say, this engine will push real-time visuals to a whole new level..."
Despite this being a poorly edited article and written at a somewhat immature level, -- "Not to worry, SF ...
The Germans are heavily anticipating GT on the PS4 I bet. They are a great motoring bunch.
Just looks at that dude. That is the face of someone that will say/do anything to get what they want. Mattrick should be in Congress with the rest of the douchebags, where he belongs.
They weren't listening to anyone. They were listening to the crickets after the May 21st reveal and they knew the shareholders heard that too.
This was all a calculated reversal based on the potential loss of millions of dollars and market share to Sony for the next console gen. This is the reason for the multitude of U-turns and the firing of Mattrick, etc.
Smoovekid
+1 for insight and common sense.
Microsoft has never bested Sony in a console race. Not ever. Only in the USA is such nonsense touted and accepted.
"When do we recognize what Microsoft has done right?"
When they are not talking.
@RedHawkX - I ready your post I nearly wet myself laughing at the level of defense force in your words. I understand your passion but you have to express yourself in a more mature, logical way. Thanks anyway!
Hit my disagree button guys. This game looks boring as hell and I DO NOT HATE BF. I'm just saying there's just not a lot going on here that we haven't already seen from this engine and the game design. I may be preaching to the choir here, but what is so enthralling about these types of games? All I see is red dot, muzzle fire, white, brown, tan, white, brown, tan, gray, green!, white, gray, brown, tan, red dot, muzzle fire, white, gray, brown, etc...
kill me ...
I know this thing is in pre-alpha, alpha or whatever these days but imho I just don't think these litle "leaks" are doing the game any justice right now. It just looks like another washed out FPS to me. I have owned and played all BF's.. I have the premium BF3 edition in fact right now, but I'm just saying ... nothing looks new, more colorful, innovative or exciting to me yet, like "oh sh** did you see that!? I've gotta get this game" type stuff yet.
As soon as I saw this title who knew who the author was lol. Take it easy - we're talking about video GAMES. There's nothing wrong w/ a bit of satire in gaming news or any kind of news, jeez.
Looking good. Hope it eventually makes it to consoles. I love how the devs are totally committed to putting out a stellar product before others even get their hands on beta testing. That's the kind of product I like to put on my shelves.
Five is too much for me, I can't even get to my PS3 backlog as it is.
Just give me KZ:SF and AC:Infinity. They will keep me enthralled well into 2014.
ps- I would've included Drive Club but three is really too much for me to handle and my driving fix is set for now with GT's.
^^ right.
Or this one: "Even w/ The One's New Go Faster Stripes, Why the PS4 is Still Your Best Option".
2 stripes or One?
edit/ ps. @Cam977 (we know it's fake, just chill a bit)
Hmm.. Ace Combat Infinity is coming back to PlayStation exclusively on the PS4 as a F2P title. I wonder if this is what the hell I think it is? If it is NamcoBandai is taking it back to the "good old days" seriously lol. Looks like good things are happening in their upper management if true. :)
