1 1 1 7 - can't come fast enough.
Unfortunately the wii-wii will begin with a bang and end with a whimper. This is just a "middle - model" gimmick machine that is acting as a stand in for all of the easily amused Ninty fans.
The controller and other periph's will be cool at first but will end up as just another "R.O.B. the Robot" type offering for Ninty in the 80's that went nowhere. They know that they will have to upgrade soon to even scratch the surface of the 360 and P3's capabilities.

Dude, I've purposefully avoided buying the 360 until the P3 launch on 1 1 1 7. It'll be a great experiment too. It's gonna be like a double launch for me. I'll play both and rate both, right here on this site. I WILL have both systems, guaranteed.

Money is no object when it comes to GAMING. The PS3 Deluxe Model™ is mine...!!!!!! I'll be there on 1 1 1 7 with a 60gigger in tote. KewlKat I'm sure they do to. That IS a No - Brainer. The comments regarding the timing of the news I think is what portalIT was really commenting on. Regardless that the 360 has enjoyed an early launch and a strong following since - I think what they are questioning is the notion of a new system and ANY mentioning of this news so close to the "kickoff" of the three way race this November.
This may not be the "best" news if you're a 360 owner, simply judging by the state that the original XBOX was left in after its launch. With that said, I don't think that MS will be quick to push the 360 aside simply because that would not resonate well with their base and would spite progress made since their launch, coming virtually in a vacuum. I wasn't aware that rumble was not such a BIG deal when it comes to my personal gaming habits. But when I think it out, I guess its really not. I mean I play AceCombat5 & Zero with the pilot controls, SFII with the arcade sticks, GranTurismo with the Logitech wheel, and only kinda miss it on Madden and Hockey. Call me a little pre-mature, but whenever the P3 gets the rumble-axis controllers it will catapult the system over the proverbial hump and mark the beginning of its dominance.
