the PS3 has really already won this war. The 360 had it's chance to snap the PS3's throat in 2006 when SNE delayed the launch, but instead relied on brand name and early adoption. On a whole, consumers and retailers are already disappointed with the XBox360 and it's had an extremely long head start.
Cores, Premiums, EL33TS, Falcons, Heat sinks, towels tricks, tea making, peer to peer subsription based services, Halo3, a game called Halo3, and another Fall title named Halo3.....

SNE cut the EE but still uses an upscaler to achieve a remarkable amount of BC with the PS2 library. They didn't want the PS2 hw in the PS3 in the newer sku's.
