I have the limited edition pre-ordered already paid in full. I can't wait for September 14, I just hope I will have time to play as much as I want to.
I like the quit ban. I am constantly getting games where people quit the game either on my team or the opposition. If you have to go somewhere the ban won't effect you. I get games where I am the only one left, sometimes I come out winning the game. I guess quitting a game may not be that big of a deal, but when you have it occurring so much as in Halo 3, it becomes a problem for other gamers.
This game will keep me busy for years, it looks awesome. Having read Fall of Reach, my excitement is through the roof. I know the game is a different story, but I want to see all the destruction that takes place. I'll start with campaign, then get to the other stuff later. I don't want to ruin the surprises by playing on the maps since some of them are based of off campaign.
The graphics look a lot better than I expected, but then again they are from cut scenes. The part at the end is just epic. I can't wait to get my hands on this game, I have never been so excited for a game before. I have only pre-ordered 2 games in my life, Halo 3 Limited Edition, and now Halo Reach Limited Edition. Call me a Halo fanboy, but Halo is the game that got me into hardcore gaming.
That trailer was just awesome, I'm trying to stay dark from campaign but it's too difficult. The anticipation is killing me, I have my limited edition preordered. By the way is this the announcement they were set to make?
For Halo 2, they released a disc version for the multiplayer maps.
I tried to listen to it, but all I heard was a bunch of guys yelling at each other, barely talking about games.
I'm talking about first party games, I love Halo and Gears, but I want to see a new IP. Codename Kingdoms looks interesting, I'm not complaining, I've had 360 since launch and I have a huge collection of games, but I want to see what's next. I'm Sick of call of Duty and the other military shooters. What I would really love would be if they brought back Conker.
I'm hoping for some hardcore games from Microsoft, honestly E3 was not as exciting for me as was hoping aside from Halo and Gears. I just want to see something new.
I thought that Microsoft said they were including the adapter with the standalone Kinect.
I went and preordered the limited edition today.
If there is a bonus DVD I'll be getting it for sure, but I guess for now I'm on the fence.
Once you have read the Fall of Reach, you would understand the importance of Master Chief and why he means so much to Halo fans. I agree with Redgehammer 100%.
I am a huge Halo fan, but I'm not going to get the legendary edition. I was going to get the limited edition but it doesn't really have anything that interests me. There is no art book or behind the scenes dvd, like Halo 3 did. I guess I'll just be getting the standard edition.
I wonder if the next Halo game will be on 360 or the next console. On one and I don't want to wait very long, but I still have Reach to hold me over. They will be able to do a lot more with a new console I guess, but I think that is still a few years away. I don't think we'll see the new consoles before holidays 2012, where I think they would release the new Halo game.
I think Bungie said they will have a team to continue support for Reach including DLC once the game is released.
I'm tired of games like COD, Battlefield, I'm not even getting Medal of Honour for that same reason. I think that is already getting old fast, even though I enjoyed Modern Warfare 2 a bit, but it became old very quick.
That rumor about Master Chief was not about Reach, it was said by Frank O' Connor who works at 343 Industries. He was referring to a future game, not Reach. Still who knows, Master Chief may make a cameo I hope.
These guys keep saying Bungie said that, when in fact it wasn't. This was said during the 343 Industries Halo Universe Panel. He also commented on the movie and said that there is nothing new. In terms of "You haven't seen the last of Master Chief" he was most definitely talking about a future game. It's funny how most gamers nowadays have more knowledge about games than the journalists writing these stories.
Well the group he is talking about is Bungie. Eventually they will hand over the duties to 343 Industries, but I wouldn't say it's worrisome. I think Microsoft understands the importance of Halo and the quality of the title.
