Hmmm... I don't agree with the eternal exclusive. KOnami needs to make money that is why MGS goes timed exclusive with PS to this point. Right now though and I am saying this from just a logical point of view...
1) Konami is investing MASSIVE money into MGS4 (stated fact it is an expensive game, and will be well worth it.) but...
2) Konami wants to make money on it...
3) Install base currently for PS3 is not worth the investment for an exclusive...
Yes, Bungie made ONI because they were still under contract to that game (I think thru Rockstar or someone like that) About halfway through dev Microsoft bought them at which time Bungie halved there staff on that game and moved half their staff to WA, and the other half stayed in LA to finish Oni... It bombed but they were already well focused on Halo 2 because it was a free game and they had a safety on it.
Does that mean they just put some POS together to get it out?? Dunno...
LMAO... I do love XBox (even though I am fair with my love and level headed)
BUT THAT IS FUNNYYY!!!!!! Great find.
you mean the same trigger as the gas pedal setups that 90% of the other driving games use???
Also... Money talks and BS walks... Microsoft made a huge errort when they were pitched GTA III and they passed on it because they wanted to keep a cleaner image for the xbox. Hardcore gaming but not Hardcore hooligan/gangsta gaming. They paid for it when GTA blew up. They are locking something down with money that will only be available to the 360. These are the ways a company ge...
you are right you will get a Bluray case with a copy of GTA IV in it... and after that the EXCLUSIVE 360 episodic content will not be included (based on a truely exclusive or timed exclusive model...whichever Microsoft pays for..) Take 2 is in the major major hurt locker and they are doing these things for a reason. Look for the high possibility of Take 2 to be absorbed/bought outright/ or them to sell some of their studios or OIP in the next year or 2.
sorry meant this to be a reply for the other one.
I posted these because this seems to be turning into a FPS debate.
Hope someone out there reads it, trying to understand what the FPS debate is about.
Frame rates in video games
Frame rates are considered important in video games. The frame rate can make the difference between a game that is playable and one that is not. The first 3D first-person adventure game for a personal computer, 3D Monster Maze, had a frame rate of approximately 6 fps, and was still a success, being playable and addictive. In modern action-oriented games where players must visually track animated objects and react quickly, frame rates of approximately 50 t...
How many frames per second can the human eye see?
This is a tricky question. And much confusion about it is related to the fact, that this question is NOT the same as:
How many frames per second do I have to have to make motions look fluid?
And it's not the same as
How many frames per second makes the movie stop flickering?
And it's not the same as
What is the shortest frame a human eye would notice?
Test 1:...
and to you I raise the same question asked by 1.3
If Xbox is making promises and saying things that at a later date look like pure dreaming or do not pan out...
Where is the games working in 4d with dual HDMI output running 120 fps @ 1080p
I believe that the physics system in FORZA 2 works at over 100 fps to calculate physics in the game. the graphics engine works at 60 fps (onscreen you can see it) where as the physics engine works behind the sce...
It doesn't say anything about 1080p @ 60 fps anywhere in that POST on a FANSITE. It says runs at 60 fps.
Just for clarification. I am not saying it isn't 1080p I am just saying it doesn't say it.
Horaayyyyy kittens drinking Beer
I agree Bethesda is an insanely good game developer I am not sure why people thought they would totally change the games. They are not EA. They want to take their time to make quality games. Oblivion for everything it is released for is a sample of the pinnacle of each systems capabilities, that doesn't happen if they are trying to turn a quick dollar (cough... EA.. cough cough) These guys are dedicated to immersion, and I am very glad they are going to give us FALLOUT fans out there a tr...
Spitfires were British Aircraft made by Vickers-Armstrongs. Messerschmitts were German aircraft, and i think you might be talking about a Messerschmitt Bf 109.
the demo was indeed fun. I had some issues with the camera angles and could see myself riding the focus camera bumper alot to get a good angle when the game decides to focus elsewhere but it was a fun play through and I will more than likely buy it, as I enjoyed both dungeon keeper 1 and 2 as well as a couple other games that are similar.
8.1 is a good score. Why do we need to get a 9 or 9.5 to make it seem like a game is good. If 5 is average then 8.1 is indeed a good score...
I see your point sak500... but once again not EVERYTHING is Graphics.
I would never expect to buy a Wii version of something and have it be the most graphically stunning version of a multiplatform title new new-gen consoles.
Prime example of what i stated above. Mart dude, you know I have taken up for you before in convos with people around here bro. BUT being the king of the mountain only extends to the limits of your house. I understand how you feel, i used to feel that way myself. I appreciate your dedication to what you feel is right BUT.
1) this has been stated before, and I am sure you flamed on it.
2) I won't change you I am sure.
You post a good number of hard evi...
I agree also... I am not a halo fanatic, but if you dig the mythology and the stories and stuff it hurts nobody else really for it to be out there. I have done these ARGs before and they are fun enough to be sure.
<gets into line>
Is this the bread line or toilet paper line in the Soviet Union (circa 1985?)
exactly... some people will never see the forest through the trees though ... things must have cutting edge graphicsw for them to care. That is why we still stomache games that control like garbage but have nice graphics.
the motion sensing for the the Wii is really pretty accurate (for the above poster)
always when i get the Wii going about 10 mins after someone plays it for the first time they want to play MORE.. then 10 mins after that a massive good nature...
dude 20 games per gen???? I had over 75 games for my Sega Saturn, over 50 for my dreamcast, PS1 well over 40, PS2 I have about 70 and I already have 40 games for my 360.
True I only have 5 games for my Wii, and 3 games for my PS3 but..
hardcore gamers buy way more than 20 games a console...
normal people who are not gamers but buy for kids or teens who don't have a boatload of money... NORMAL people... buy more than 20 also i should think across...
