This is a video game company that sells video games.

This is NOT a commodity (like gas or oil) that is essential for the worlds economies to work.

If you or anyone else doesn't like the price that Activision is going to sell their games at, then don't buy them. If enough people feel the same, then the market will force them to drop the price.(can anyone say PS3?)

I have read recent articles that the U.K. pound has been loosing value vs. the U.S. dollar and that means Activision looses money if they leave the price alone.

Besides, even if Activision is raising prices for no reason at all except to make more money in a certain region, it makes them STUPID not evil.

Making a profit is now considered "evil" to some people.

Explain what the motivation to risk everything a person owns to start up a new business would be then? ....Huh?

That's what I thought.

That everyone that disagreed with me, believes that people should not be rewarded for succeeding?

Just remember that when you go to ask for your next raise from your own boss.

And another thing that is confusing is that you can't understand that the 54.2% is from an ON-LINE survey. The "on-line" part alone takes away any credibility it may have had.

Kotick become the CEO of Activision in 1991, when it was BANKRUPT and only earning around 28 million a year.

Over the next 18 years helps to turn the company around and makes it one of the top game software giants and now has revenues near 3 BILLION!

The 360 Elite and the PS3(80gig) are the same price right now at $399.

I believe the 360 still sold more units. Not all were the Elite obviously, those sales also included the Pro and Arcade.

Well, now you get an extra 60gigs of space and the better looking black case and controller.:)

Because MS has always said that EVERY 360 game will be designed to work on the non-hdd version of the 360 (older Core model and now Arcade)

The arcade stays the same, the Pro version is now eliminated, and the Elite gets a price drop and the HD cables removed.

And MS has done NOTHING to fix the issue either.(sarcasm)

Like extending warranties to 3 years on RROD and E-74, or going through roughly 4 redesigns on the machine itself to reduce failure, or refunding money to owners who had RROD repairs before the extension (which also includes the new E-74).

In addition, MS had to endure (to this day) the stigma of the never ending "my 360 got RROD for the .....th time" stories.

Yea, your right, tha...

Sorry to take the punch out of your comment, but when was the 360 EVER beating the PS2 in Japan?

Other than a few minor weeks here or there the 360 has always been behind in weekly sales in Japan.

The only thing that can be said about the 360 is that at least it is selling more consistently per week than last year(even in last place).

But I keep reading that "this is only the first two days...."

I believe that the first days of a game usually move the most copies.
Let's look at two other examples:
