Fix the writing and turn down the melodramatic voice acting and we are in good shape. Although I do feel like a dweeb for taking over 8 tries to down Garland at the end….. on normal.

This game has been in development for over 6 years…..

Yup, when I saw the title I nearly jumped out of my seat. Saw it was for an audio position and got real disappointed.

Once they sell me on Fable & Avowed I will definitely be ordering the Series X. Those plus Starfield have huge RPG 1st party potential. Xbox only fans finally have a solid lineup, happy for them

@moronspotter

I agree just figured these two are the most egregious with also the most hype surrounding them. The other ones at least are fun games for what they are - they are just getting tiresome (Uncharted, TLOU, Sackboy). Those games are great to balance things out but when Sony isn’t offering deeper more lore driven RPG experiences it becomes more difficult to get excited for their platformers and action adventure games. God of War & Ghosts were also great I just ...

Maybe the fact that Days Gone and Horizon are both open world games, but where the actual openness of the world serves no purpose other than to take out camps and find meaningless collectibles. Equipment management and crafting both being simple as well, along with no world building. The following is a game that Sony has never produced and quite honestly I don’t believe ever will. Easy for anyone to pick up and play, but offers fun and deep crafting, hundreds of equipment, multiple playable c...

Are they really trying to peg this game as an RPG?

I stopped feeling bad for them once they blatantly tweeted the first and last letters of the game.

What do platforms have anything to do with? And incomplete? Sure there could have been more side content but the main path is about 30+ hours of top notch story, combat and excellent character/RPG progression. If you’re referring to the fact that it didn’t tell the entire story of the original final fantasy vii, then are you telling me you wanted them to release a single game worth over 150+ hours of story content (not including side content/100% completion)? That is the trajectory we are hea...

Yes that was my point about the Bloodborne & Dark Souls sequel. Because they choose to make 3rd party deals and never acquire studios (or double their current numbers organically) gamers who end up loving these games are shit out of luck. Hence why i mentioned Bloodborne & Dark souls.

Rogue Galaxy sold well, plus they have so much they could build on in that universe. They chose not to make a sequel because they lack studios who understa...

You fool, lol. No one said they had to make games just to please me. Every franchise I referenced or referred to is a highly beloved and multimillion seller. Not to mention has led to said publishers being worth billions.

My point is (and please feel free to counter this argument) that Sony’s games are nowhere near as deep and expansive as those titles. I did not ask if you like those games, which leads me to believe that you may in fact be ...

They’re also probably sick and tired of making simplistic games. A lot of Sony devs have moved on to Bethesda. People should wonder why. Any good artist can make pretty art. But to make a game that has a wondrous world worth hundreds of hours of exploring and character progression takes special talent.

I’ve become real disappointed with gamers on this site, and I’m a PS gamer. At least xbox gamers can now guarantee that every single one of their franchises will continue to get released. Bethesda puts extensive care and attention into their ongoing franchises, their games have fucking bugs because they implement more gameplay systems than 4 Sony 1st party titles combined. Sony’s method is frustrating. Where is the Bloodborne sequel? Where is Demon’s Souls 2? Rogue Galaxy 2? The Order 1886 se...

Foolish statement. At least xbox gamers can now guarantee that every single one of their franchises will continue to get released. Because Bethesda puts extensive care and attention into their ongoing franchises. Sony’s method is frustrating. Where is the Bloodborne sequel? Where is Demon’s Souls 2? Rogue Galaxy 2? The Order 1886 sequel? They keep making excellent third party games and then a sequel is nowhere to be seen. It’s ridiculous lol. The Order had one of my favorite cast of character...

As crazy as this sounds, if you think about it logically, the only studio that understands the concept of RPG’s are Sony San Diego. Look at all of the systems put into place for MLB the show over the past couple of years. The next runner up a Cory Barlog ran game due to the progression and equipment management he implemented into GOW 2018. However, if Sony is going to continue to stay cheap and not acquire an RPG savvy studio, my hope would be that Naughty Dog take the time they need and make...

A lot of gamers on here are insane. Who tf would not want games that are massive in scope but that still permit the option for casual gamers to simply mainline the game? Why would you not want to be able to take advantage of the lore and world building. Honestly you all are pathetic and Sony will never feel the need to make games like this if everyone keeps buying their games that require no thought process whatsoever to play from 1st party.

I actually don’t mind gamepass, the issue I have is that I’m methodical about my choice of games, and gamepass either has zero games I want to play or has games that I already beat and have zero interest in going back to. The “Netfix” of games business model works well for tv and movies, but is entirely different for me in regards to video games.

Yea really waiting for Sony to step up and make their own JRPG franchises that won’t be abandoned. These 3rd party deals are ridiculous to some extent because they just get the hopes up of fans. How can someone defend this approach when Bloodborne fans have been starving for 6 years with no end in sight. This is why Msft fans are set now.
