...Don't Xenoblade and "X" count since they're first party? Nintendo's problem isn't strictly about creating new IPs. They have a few new ones...the problem is that they don't advertise them as much as they should. Which is ironic cause I feel like a new Zelda or Mario game would practically handle advertising itself whereas The Last Story and the like need it so that gamers actually know about them.
I loved the motion controls, but I kind of hope they are an option if available so they avoid over using them for puzzle solutions in the new one. Loved loved loved SS, but sometimes I was like "Okay, I get it, motion controls weee." Though I might be in the minority, I loved the boss key puzzles.
I never really understand this excuse for why a series needs to change. Zelda is a series in which each game has its own distinct flavor and if they decide to make it cartoony, all the more power to them. I don't need every game I play to be deadly serious.
