Bought this on a steam sale and was pleasantly surprised at just how good it was. I ended up beating it while I lost interest in GTA4 about halfway through. The driving mechanics, melee fighting and story is what really made me love this game more than GTA4. Really looking forward to GTA5 though, hopefully it'll keep my interest the whole way through.
Good reviews and swamped servers does not always mean people will stay, just ask Bioware.
I wanted them to wait and get it right but boy they are taking way too damn long now. They should be at least in a beta stage by now. With the PS4 and X1 on the horizon and a slew of great games coming out, by the time the stand along comes out it'll be buried in next gen games.
This is why it needs to come out on PC! So I can play it 1440p + mods = Even better game than what it was meant to be. Just look at GTA4 and all those Ironman mods and ENB mods.

I don't trust a remake of VII in the hands of SE. If they do attempt it, they first must gather every single person that helped develop the original, janitor included. If it is done, it MUST be done in FFVII style. I don't want to see anything that would tell me that it was influenced by other FF games,such as, no Bahamut Sin which strikes me more of a FFX summon.
I'm really hoping Goku has Naruto's techniques to combine it with his own. Can you imagine Mass Shadow Clone Technique + Kamehameha? Or how about being able to summon Shenron? I'd love to see Goku make a wind rasen shuriken as big as a spirit bomb. The possibilities of a Naruto based Goku would be amazing.
