Why can't they just show a good solid portion of real time gameplay of the single player? Haven't seen that yet. They just show short bits mixed with cutscene and screen shots.
On screen shots, Lair looks better than Halo 3.
Sorry but stop being bitter, and stop trying to downplay it. The new game sounds ambitious because it can only be done on PS3. This isn't tabble tennis. Rockstar only did that one time.

EGM reviewed Lair 6.0, 5.5, 5.0, I think it's a hit or miss with Lair since the Gameplay is so Sixaxis heavy. EGM didn't like that and just gave it a shame of the month type score. I think the game will be more in the 7.0's overall. I think EGM just hates Sixaxis. If Lair fails it's gonna be because of the Sixaxis the graphics look great.
If the EGM September Issue is leaked, you would think someone could post scans of the Lair Review. I actually do believe this but it's so shocking that I want to see proof. I wanna see with my own eyes because the Link just leads to a forum where regular gamers are discusing, but where did they get their information from?

It's huge. I can't stop thinking of the GTA 3 days on the PS2. Those were the days man. GTA was the biggest game in the world.
GTA is already sold out and stale. It's got no shock value anymore. GTA IV will still sell good but it's not like before. Rockstars new IP exclusive to PS3. Hell yeah!
Rockstar putting their minds to work on a new IP that will take full advantage of the PS3. Remember when they kept asking Sony about no GTA IV extra content and they said something like they are close with Rockstar and working their way around it. Could of had this in mind.
Who knows Rockstar brought GTA3 to the PS2, maybe it's starting again. The next shock title on the most powerful platform.

35k for the 500k total XBOX 360 owners in Japan? Sounds a bit too high to me. Hot Shots golf already has like 300k pre orders for PS3.
One thing I don't get, this game is on PS3 now also. Why didn't they release the PS3 version in Japan already also? Sold more copies obviously. That's just stupid.
Call of Duty 4, hell no. Another boring military tactical shooter. And Little Big Planet. I don't get the hype over that game at all.
very early September. My take on the demo, impressive but they could of released that a long time ago. I've seen that same gameplay footage long ago. It was an old demo.
Paramount I think announced they will start focusing more on blu ray with special features. So I don't care, to me blu ray already won, I have a PS3 and I'm already renting Blu ray.
Sometimes I get the feeling an online multi player type game like Warhawk is hotter than an beautiful adventure game like Lair. Me personally I think Lair owns this game, but I guess it's a matter of taste.
Of course any XBOX 360 games are gonna get high scores. But this 95% from PC gamer is good. I'm sure it's a very good horror shooter.
