after having it out from Gamefly for the past two months. I've played JRPGs my whole life but if this is what a Western RPG is like I think I may have converted. My char is level 19 and I'm wondering if the level cap is still at level 20 on the PS3 version. Anyone know? If it is, it may be in my interest to wait until they raise the cap before proceeding.
Picking up a second PS3? How I envy you. I still haven't picked up my first 360. But kudos to those that could afford to get a slim. I have a 60gb launch sku and I just did my quarterly cleaning of the system. Hopefully I can keep the YLOD from ever rearing its ugly head.
To the people that bought the slim and already owned a PS3, do you plan on selling your old one at any point? There are a lot of games coming out this year and I can't help but think that an extra 200-250 would...
The PS3 has given me countless hours of entertainment both in gaming and blu-ray. I remember when I first showed Planet Earth to my college roomie that didn't know what the difference between blu-ray and dvd was. The fact that I've played games online for free only adds to my enjoyment. And we've all seen the calculations that show how much a launch 360 owner that has played games online has paid in comparison to a launch PS3 owner.

Someone is making a prono theme? But anyway, I think its cool. I would've jumped for joy at custom avatars. I think they have that on XBL. It would've been sweeeeet to use any pic I want as my avatar. But whatevery, if they really add lots more avatars I guess it's better than nothing.

Manufacturing costs are down and the royalities on software will be where they make their money.

still doesn't get around the mandatory fee to play games online. I won't even mention blu-ray. Seriously, to get the edge back MS needs to make Live free. It's been a good little run but now it's time to consider yourself lucky to have charged for what no other company/platform charges for and to give Live away as free. At least then MS could tout a superior online service that's also free as an advantage over PS3 at 299.99.

but I think someone was a little gone when they wrote it destroys the PC gaming business. Yeah, it looks crazy. I'm buying it day one. But lets relax with the grandiose statements. Especially since no one has really sat down with the game and given us thoughts on the gameplay.
not only does MS charge an exuberant price for a HDD and online, but they also charged a 100 bucks for a wifi adapter? Wow! Talk about milking your customers dry. I was in a hotel recently and used the Wifi signal to play some games. I guess if I owned a 360 I would've had to pay 100 bucks to do that? That's insane.
I'm glad they're finally including that in the box with the elite but I guess if you bought an elite and then paid for the adapter you gotta feel a little burned righ...
but I just want the game. I could care less about damage to cars. I lived w/o it in every GT up till now.
and I don't enjoy repetitive gameplay involving characters that look like something Rob Liefeld drew with dialogue reminiscent of a bad 80s action flick. To each their own eh?

Anyway, I'm glad that more people can finally afford the PS3 (since that 100 bucks was such a deal breaker). Maybe now we can listen to a podcast w/o them bringing up how Sony needs to cut the price over and over.

no one says you have to have a GO! In fact, you can get the 3000 and make out like a bandit due to its price and features. PSP has an awesome library as well. So what if Sony overpriced the Go!, I won't be getting one and I hope that a lot of people splurge the extra 50 bucks and pick up a PS3.
I just want games like Heavenly Sword, Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, etc to do well so I can get more of them. So many missed out on those games cuz of price. I hope people go back and pick up some of the classics when they get that PS3.
They should've dropped it to 199.99 to move units. Why buy the Pro when for 50 bucks more you get the bigger HDD of the Elite? At 199.99 you get people to clear product like what because it's such a good deal.
I removed it from my Gamefly account because I know now that I'm buying it. The only thing that might affect me purchasing the game is if it gets horrible scores everywhere. If you've seen the other vids you know how diverse and deep the characters seem to be. And the ability to play out each little encounter adds a lot of re-playability. With PS3 being 299.99, the game now has a better chance of reaching more people and therefore increasing the likelihood of a sequel.
so I can get in a game with a certain number of real players (humans and not AI) and I'd like to see a patch to fix some of the remaining bugs. Great game but it really needs another patch.
because this game is just beautiful as is. You know guys, we may not see a new console for a longggggg time and that's fine with me.
