changed out the hdd, have left it on for days straight, had it in a not so ventilated spot in my entertainment center before my ex roommate made me paranoid about that, and I have had no problems. Some game freezing every now and then but I guess that's not due to the sku but rather some of the firmware.
But Sony never really had ugly boxart. Black is a subtle color that compliments almost any color and the larger PS3 font still looks cool. I loved the Spiderman 3 font but I'm digging the new look
I guess I'm the average PSN user. It sorta makes sense. I figured educated people with some disposable income would opt for the PS3. We want the most bang for our buck.
I don't get people like you. Unless all you rabid 360 fanboys are the same guy, I don't get why you so vehemently hate the PS3. Is it that you wanted one when it first came out but couldn't afford the price tag? Is it because you see games like Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 and know that the games will only get better for PS3? I can't see that when you haven't paid one dime for PSN. How can you demand features and be angry when they aren't included when it's a free service? it's cool to demand more but being angry when what you want isn't included is a little much.
is a discount? Holy crap I didn't realize those things went for that much. I'm not going to even bother posting what drives you could get for almost half of that. The price for the controller is a good deal but the Wifi adapter and the HDD are still overpriced.

People love to have new tech and with HDtvs now fairly common, I can't help but think that people are going to want to jump into High Def movies. Maybe this is why I'm not in charge at Sony, but I really thought the decision to use blu-ray was a detriment. It looks like that decision may be one of the biggest reasons to pick up a PS3 over a 360.
Price was a major problem before but now it's not. All Sony has to do is effectively communicate what it does and what the comp doesn't....

I agree. Like I said, only one of those features interests me. I think Xiphos nailed it though. With all the demand for it I'm a little surprised they haven't included it in an update so far. While you or I may not care about those features you can't deny that there is a huge demand for them.
