the cell, blu-ray, standard HDD, etc. All attempts to make the system future proof. The system was so forward thinking that Sony lost billions just selling it at a fair price. I don't see them rushing to put out new technology (i.e. the PS4) when A) they're able to sell the system for a price of 299.99 and not lose a substantial amount on each system sold and B) the system's re-launch has revived interest in the console and they are currently riding a wave of success that could carry into Spr...
This isn't politics or a debate on green house gases. These are comments on N4G. I don't think class should even be considered at this level. It's just the nature of the beast. It's just normal banter and it happens almost every generation. No one says you have to read it.
I think some of you take this stuff way too seriously. Class? C'mon now. It's all good natured ribbing. Insulting the 360 or the PS3 does not reflect upon a person as insulting a certain ethnicity or culture. ...
360 fans and the 360 media pretty much slammed the PS3 for the better part of 2 years. Now that the tables are turned, and the media realizes that you can't stay biased and remain credible or viable, it's only fair for PS3 fans to "rub it in" if you will. Don't worry, 6 months from now PS3 fans won't care about 360...but I'm sure 360 fanboys will still write their PS3 is doomed articles.

I read the article stating that the launch was less than stellar, and then I read almost 10 stories saying how sales were up and Sony had an amazing week in the UK. So who do I believe? Preponderance of the evidence people. One historically shown biased site will lose when the rest of the world is saying things are going great for Sony.

I don't get why anyone who isn't a fanboy or someone with a substantial amount of MS shares would write this.
First of all, if anyone cares to go back to the early part of 08, when the PS3 was a mere 100 bucks more than the 360's cheapest sku at the time, sales for the PS3 were great. It outsold 360 on a regular basis and that's without the AAA games being right around the corner like they are now.

Halo got me back into videogames. The look, controls, quirky personality of the enemies, and the music were just incredible. The first time I piloted a banshee I had to call someone. I once got a girl I was dating at the time, who had never played a videogame before, to play this game with me from beginning till the end one day. She loved it. Part 2 was sort of a let down, and unfortunately I've never played the 3rd one for any extended period of time, but I've got nothing but respect for Bun...
Give me a Shadow of the Colossus with trophy support, updated graphics, sound, etc and you can have my money.
I just hope they price these games at 39.99. That's a fair price even with all the updates. 49.99 is a little steep and 59.99 might even be a rip.

getting a system with a few AAA games that are available for less than 59.99? I can't be mad at people for getting a slim for 299.99 even though I spent almost 600 for my launch 60 gb. The reason is I think Sony, inadvertently, rewarded us early adopters by giving us the skus that had full BC.
But hey, if you just got a slim I hope you pick up some of the older games. They may not all have trophies, but some were just plain amazing.
